Title: 1983 Thunderbird Heritage Dash Plaque
Post by: MY83T on May 27, 2012, 03:37:09 AM
Anyone ever actually see one installed in a car?  I saw this in the dealer brochure and was curious if these were given to original owners to mount with their names inscribed?  Look just below the trip minder.....

Yes I have. I often wondered about getting the name redone but as of this point it still has the original owners name on it

Yep, I've seen one and my car still has one with the original owners name on it. Coincidentally it just happens to match my (and my wife's) name. :hick:

Paperwork came with the car to be filled out, mailed to Ford then they shipped you a custom dash plaque based on your signature in the box on the form.

1983 was not the first year Ford did this on the TBirds, but not sure when they started making a copy of your signature?

Reviving an old thread, can anyone who has one of these post a nice close up photo or 2 of theirs?  I am trying to get a copy made.  Thanks!
