Since I've farmed out the wiring problem with my 'bird it's left me some time to take care of a couple honey'do's. The biggest of which is a pool deck. I actually wanted it done more than the wife but hated the thought of doing it.
After two days of busting tail with a friend helping, here is the results so far.

Thursday we hand dug 13 holes and got the 6x6's set/squared in a quickrete footing. This was a 10 hour day. Then on Friday we got all the framing completed and started laying decking boards. About another ten hour day here also but not nearly as rough as Thursday. I'm decking it with 2x8x16's since I HATE 5/4 decking. This is one sturdy deck!!
Took Saturday off and am going to hit is hard again today to finish decking it and do the handrails. More pics to follow..........
Wow....looking at the pic that one 6x6 at the left edge of the pic looking bent horribly......actually had to go outside and look!! It's straight........yikes.
Might be a camera setting? Everything in the pic looks like it's curved lol.
Man, that's gonna be nice when you finish it!
That's a hell of a deck Dan! Looks good!
It's 15' wide and 27' long. When the pool is gone it could be a nice parking spot!!
Sunday's progress.............

Two guys, three and a half days, about 70 hours total labor. Have a bunch of materials to take back before I know how much I have invested.
Looks good!
Lakenheath, looks like you got a resort going on there.
Just had family in the last 3 weeks, so during a drunken moment we got the pitching wedges out, tossed a hula hoop in the pool, and practiced our chipping. It's good exercise fishing 200 balls out of the pool.
At least you had fun while getting some excercise. lol!
WOW I like the desk of round above ground pool (http://"http://www.thepoolfactory.com/swimming-pools/above-ground-pools")... because its looking great. can you please post some photos after finishing the work? and also please share the total price of the deck including installation charges.
