Title: low fuel light problem
Post by: jaa55 on May 18, 2012, 10:49:42 PM
88 TC

comes on randomly. gas gauge works perfect but the low fuel light will do whatever it pleases whenever. Surely not two sending units in the tank is there?

There is only one fuel gauge sending unit in the tank. It goes to both the gauge and the low fuel warning module.
From the 88 EVTM:
The Y/W wire is from the sending unit.
The DG/W wire is 5v from the IVR.
The BK wire is ground.
The R/Y wire is battery voltage.
The Y/BK wire lights the bulb.
