Title: porting tools?
Post by: SR71blackbird on May 17, 2012, 11:48:53 PM
So i have a couple different electric die grinders but only one is adjustable but that only has a 1/8 drive and its bits arent very long so it cant get very deep. The other one spins at 30,000rpm and just blows the rolled up sandpaper bits away pretty quickly. Any suggestions?

Find a speed controller that plugs in between the electrical outlet and the tool. It will allow you to limit the amout of juice going to the tool which will slow it down.

I don't shop at Harbor Freight very often, but they have what they call a router speed controller that would work for what you need.

How many amps does your grinder pull? Match it.
