I was actually triing to get my hands on an immaculant '88 XR-7 here, but the bank took too long approving me for the loan and I lost out, so I ended up settling on this:

I cant wait to pick it up tomorrow. Maybe I will run it at the track this weekend and see what she can do. :rollin:
Ah dude a rustang?????????????
Disapointed man,did you see the 5.0l converted TC with the crome pony wheels in the autotrader as well?
7750 obo with edelbrock heads and alot of other performance goodies 120000km?
That's a nice ride, what did the stang cost you?
Pic
I saw (and drooled over) that T-Bird as well...
You think THATS disapointing? I went and picked up a bright red fully unloaded load of a chebby sprint with one dead cylinder and dry rotted tires today to use as my daily for a while lil fugger wouldnt even top 110km/h DOWNHILL! haha but it came with half a tank of gas which is worth almost as much as I paid for it :p plus I found over $5 in change in it :D but its got a sun roof, bucket seats and a high flow exhaust! (ler got caught in the weeds and fell off before I got the car outta the field) BoOyAh!
Almost forgot to mention the top of the line, competition quality, sparkomatic sound system :D I might even be able to get it working! (5th car i've bought with a sparkomatic stereo... wonder what that means?)
Man that bird is nice, but above what I wanted to spend. Paid $5,000 for the Stang, has a fresh paint job, lowered with eibach springs, DECH GFX, Saleen wing, Sunroof, 5.0L, 5spd, new clutch, and tires. Needs a little TLC in the interior and engine bay, (mainly filthy), and an Exhaust. but other then that it ran good and drove nice. I liked it. all I gotta do tomorrow is drive it home, have my 2 1/2" Cowl painted white and bolt on, then start cleaning and modding.
In retrospect... Yeah, I definatly wanted a Cougar or Bird over it, but I think it will be a fun summer car. Hell, I can hit 110 in second gear with this thing. (til the 4.10's go in anyways.) lol
Yea the stangs definetly do go and there aren't as many of them as there once were(thank god,at one point seemed like everyone and their mother had one).
Only thing is, as my buddy said to me just before he sold his second stang "why are stangs built so cheaply built while birds are of such better quality" i tried to explain to him that when new the $14000 price of his stang vs the $24000 price of my bird made just a little bit of a differance in what you got for your dollar.
So in the end a once stang boy reincarnated into a t-bird/cougar lover, another converted yeaaaaa!!!
Anyways though i did look at your car in auto trader and found that you paid 4500 for it not the 7750 wanted for the bird so i understand your plight,a good t-bird/cougar is hard to find out here.
Lucked out on mine, bought the first TC i found for an awesome price, had to search for a few weeks for my buddies car but again another near mint TC.
Enjoy the newfound power in the stang/looks like a nice ride.
Just don't donate this one's drivetrain to another car for a while, heh. ;)
Very nice! Can't wait to check it out at Cat Jam. Can I get a ride? :D
why do you think I bought the car brain, my mom needs a 302 for her cougar.
LOL J/K
Sure 4thqtr, can you drive a manual? If so, I will probably let you drive it too. :canada: :america:
No Rwolf you cant steal them!
PS, I'm still on the lookout for a nice V8 Cougar or Bird. And I still have the '85 which I'm slowly restoring. So I haven't gone to the dark side yet. Stangs are fun, but I still love Cougars.
yeah, the taxes took it to $5175. I hate taxes! oh well, time to put Will's black bullits to use. :D
YOu know what those bullit's would look good on? my XR-7 ;)
haha kidding.. they'll probably look great on the new stang.
