So i bought a stinger front mount kit off someone on this form, and ever since i have been running it (5 months) I have lost all power and my car will die on me when i pop it out of gear sometimes, mostly getting off the freeway. It started happening when i put the new turbo on, i also swapped the used stinger front mount kit and ever since its been py. I Know its in the piping or the intercooler itself. How can i check to see if the front mount has a crack letting air out? I am thinking about duct taping a shop vac to one side of the intercooler and duct taping the other and see if i can feel/hear any air movement when i run my hand around the intercooler.
OK what you need to do is pressurize the system with air. I have some of those FERNCOES that home depot sells for plumbing instillation. Clamp some PVC pipe together with a tire valve in one end and a FERNCO cap on the other. Pressurize the system with 20 LBS. Then listen and check for leaks. You can also fill a spray bottle with soapy water and spray the area down to find small leaks. If the soapy water bubbles you have a LEAK Good luck.
^^ yep did pretty much the same thing on my factory intercooler set up to find a leak after I did the head gasket. It can take a little bit to find it, but you will.
Well could it be something else? I have an EGR block off plate on the upper intake manifold. On the old EGR unit there was a vacuum line hooked up to it that run to something round which turned into a wire from. Now I hooked that vacuum line up to the vacuum tree. Could that possibly be the thing making me car car when i take it out of gear sometimes?

that round thing is a vacuum delay valve, and that is just a vacuum source. you could have plugged off the other end of it too,
