ok, thanks, anybody know what size speakers i should shop for?
3.5" round in the dash, 6x8 in the rear, 6.5" round in the doors. Figured I'd help you cover all your bases :)
Side note, if you buy from crutchfield they will tell you what size and send you an adapter so you don't have to cut your wiring.
X2 They are a great place to do business with!
Yep. I wish my previous owner had done that in the first place. I had a freaking nightmare trying to figure out what every wire did in there. He didn't even have it wired up right. The whole thing was just inconceivable. When I do my truck's stereo I'm definitely going through them. They have all the mounting hardware and any dash plates you might need for other vehicles too. (like that ridiculous late 90's Taurus radio plate :yuck:)
if i dont have premium sound, will i have a door speaker?
You shouldn't unless somebody put one in before, but sometimes the wiring will already be there for it.
i thought the rear deck speakers were 5x7's? or does it depend on the year?
^ This. The factory plug should be there. It is a strange looking plug though and Crutchfield has the adapter that fits it so you don't have to cut your wiring.
