I've cut off your access to the classifieds. My call. I'm not inclined to lift that ban yet.
(Don't send me any messages to argue, as I'm not going to discuss it.)
Simple point. If you agree on a deal, handle it in a timely manner. If something goes wrong, whether it's your fault or not, handle it. Your deal, your responsibility.
This goes for all members. By and large this is a good forum, but if you're going to use this forum as an avenue for commerce, you will be held accountable.

Shouldn't lie to people, And make promises you can't keep. Grow some nuts or go home. I don't always agree with the mods, but this time I do. One day you'll grow up, take responseability, and it won't be a problem.

umm.. i did take responsibility and made sure it was taken care of, are you blind? excuuuuse me for going on vacation.. vinnie isn't the only 1 who didn't receive his package when he was supposed to.. NOW, vinnie has had his tracking number since the 19th, 5 days ago! and you cut my classified viewing privileges now? seriously?

I cut them days ago, obviously you're the one who's blind. I warned you when you came back to keep your nose clean.
As far as I'm aware, this deal was made BEFORE you left on vacation, and it wasn't handled before then. If you have someone's money, it is your priority to get them their stuff, be it for $5 or $500. You also might want to rethink your shipping strategy if you have MULTIPLE packages come back to you. I've shipped hundreds of boxes all over the world over the past 8+ years and NEVER has one come back to me (or gotten lost)...ever.

it was a payment issue and it was originally shipped BEFORE i left.. it didn't get returned until AFTER i left.. i was in the shop the morning i left for florida and the ONLY boxes there, were what i had ordered from my machinist.. you obviously didn't pay very much attention to what me AND vinnie both said went on

Over the years, we've had members who grew to a respectable position (or sometimes not) and ended up cheating other members out of their money. It even happened to me several years ago, and I'm still pissed off about it. It's happened too many times, and we're tired of seeing it. Your actions and excuses placed you into that category of suspicion, which is why Chuck did what he had to.

I agree with cougarcragar. And I don't think Chuck's actions are just because of your dealings with Vinnie. You've done the exact same thing to me! As I keep reminding you. When you keep doing what you do to people something has to be done. The bad thing is you never admit to doing anything wrong, you just keep passing the blame on someone else. That's not taking responsability for anything! Hell you never even offered me an apology! Not that I want one now, it's way too late for that. Just be glad I'm not an admin. because you really wouldn't like the action I'd take.

I remember quite a while back, when you were still using your first username...you'd asked me about a 5.0 4bbl intake..Seems like you wanted to do a partial trade on the Explorer upper/lower that I think Jay had problems with you over a bit later.
Now, my own record on this forum is not the greatest, but by god I'll be ed if anyone here can or (will) EVER say I ripped them off.
Now, I won't judge you for what's happened in the most recent fiasco that's over your head, but I WILL say this: Chuck, as well as the other mods here do a fine job. How many other forums can you think of that cater to our cars (aside from NATO, to a degree), much less make parts (Chuck) for our cars? You want to taunt and whine? Piss off!
Take it like a man, STFU, make right on your dealings, and maybe later down the road your privileges will get reinstated. Or you could get kicked off of here. I don't give a flying eff either way, myself.
Not meant as a personal dig, but seeing your (smallminded, to be honest) opinions of everything from Chevy vs Ford, LS engines, aero vs 4 eye headers, etc....in almost every effing thread you start or comment in makes ME want to leave. You're a businessman...act like it, and enjoy the respect you'll have for it...or you can have this kinda stuff following you around. Only one can decide the matter is you.
Have a great day man. :)

It's like this. The classifieds are a privilege. Abuse that privilege and you lose it. We admins gave Chuck mod rights in that forum for a reason: he's reliable and he's fair. We don't need to question his actions. While we can't be held responsible for transactions going wrong, we can take steps to prevent it, and one of those steps is blocking known problems from using this forum for selling. Had this been your first issue we may have given you probation instead of the block. Consider your time here under your current user name as your probation. You blew it.
Ask 84Fila what the next step is, if the abuse continues.

I think the whole point of that is, that he can't. :p
What I'm trying to figure out here, is why we have that feedback score system if this is what we're going to do to people. And what's even more confusing is why the only feedback I see under shadow's info is 1(100%). If people are having bad transactions, at least 2 that we know of, then why is that not noted on the feedback. This is why its here after all. To prevent shenanigans like this from ever happening in the first place. But sellers/buyers have to use it to make it work. If I was as aggravated as Jay still is over his deal, then there's a negative vote. And as for this thing with Vinnie, even if it does get fully resolved here in a couple days when the package arrives, the whole experience should have already earned a negative. Idk, maybe you guys are just nicer than me.

as for 'taunting,' it was more of a ''heads up..' i was in the classifieds yesterday morning, when they were supposedly blocked days ago
jay, that's bull.. i apologized for the mishap in our deal
84fila was a tool in more ways than i can count on my hands and feet.. that kid was a full blown moron
and it's not like i screwed anyone.. vinnie's box will be there any day now, jay got his money back and i don't believe a complete ban is fair.. maybe blocking my 'post a thread' privileges in the for sale section.. i've never screwed anyone when buying something, that's for sure
and anyone care to tell me who the guy is that's parting out a couple 4 eyed cars? doug something? i lost his number when i was on vacation and we were in the middle of a deal

I'm planning on streamlining the Feedback Forum. Basically there will be ONE THREAD per user, and all feedback for that user will be in that thread. Now the trick will be getting folks to follow the rules and search for a user and post in their feedback thread, instead of just making a new thread EVERY SINGLE TIME. The forum is searchable, or arrangeable by username, so it will be easy to find the thread. Alternately, folks could link their feedback thread in their signatures. Anyway, when I get some time to screw with sorting out the existing mess, I'll make people aware.

any way to just make the feedback linkable to said thread for each user? then again, that'd be a tall order.. you'd have to have no life in order to get it done in a month's time, i'd imagine.. would really suck to try and keep up with it, with new members walking in the door constantly.. ok, my idea sucks..

Actually I was referring to the Feedback Score, the one that shows up in the upper right corner of every users posts under their location and post counts. I honestly forget most of the time that the feedback forum section even exists.
And shadow I wasn't trying to say you didn't deserve the positive score that you did get, if that's how you took it. I feel that positive transactions should be rated as such as well. The problem is that it seems most people forget that you can even leave feedback, be it positive, negative, or neutral, for a transaction at all. It could also be the fact that some people may not realize that feedback left in the feedback forum does not reflect what's left on the official score unless you actually provide a rating as well.

If I remember correctly it was your friend who took care of everything including the apology not you. Luck, for me he's a stand up guy and made sure I got my refund. I never heard from you after HE took care of everything.

This method is being used with great success on another forum I'm on. If you want to sell or trade there, you must create a feedback thread for yourself and have a link in your sig. If you don't, no one will deal with you until you make one.
And Shadow, sloughing responsibility, not planning ahead, not communicating transaction status adequately with the buyer, and depending on others to take care of your business is a sure fire way to fail every time.

I agree with this. I have boxed up and dropped off every shipment, handled all the money, picked up materials, and built the ed stuff myself. This is on top of working a full-time job as well as a part time one. Aside from farming out a couple bits of work to gumby for some additional welding, and my g/f running stuff to the powdercoaters for me (offered by her as a favor), it's all been me. This is all for a "casual business".

i take urgent responsibility in the areas i handle personally.. shipping parts and such are only 10-15% of what my business(s) entail.. my mom takes care of the money and therefore takes care of the shipping (because she has instant access to my business accounts) and does so very well.. she doesn't do it as a free favor, it's paying some of the household bills, which makes life easier for her and her wallet.. when i took my load of boxes to the post office, i used my mastercard, in which there was obviously an issue with, because of the returned packages.. again, vinnie was not the only 1 who didn't receive his box when he should have.. i had 14 other boxes that had to be re-sent, along with 23 new orders to be filled and shipped when i got home
and here's why my mother is my accountant.. she doesn't charge me anything, my bills get paid on time, shipping gets handled AND i'm very irresponsible with money.. if i were to pull her from the equation, i'd have to hire an accountant to keep my money and bills in line, which costs MONEY and i trust no one outside of my family.. in my eye, accountants are like politicians, crooked and money hungry, looking to skim money off the top.. maybe i watch too much TV at night, maybe i'm paranoid.. regardless, i'd rather my money stay where i know it's safe, especially after my accident last year

It would sounds like "my assistant forgot to do this or my assistant forgot to do that?" You made your own bed my mentioning (or blaming more like it) your mom as the contact for all your shipments.

i got a call at 10:36AM from ADT that the alarm at the shop was going off.. i have thousands of dollars of equipment, parts, motors, etc in that building, so i'd have to be a complete moron not to run over there immediately, to see what the deal was.. my mom had nothing to do today, so she offered to take it.. i haven't seen or heard from her since i left this morning, i just know that there's no tracking slip here, just the receipt that shows the amount paid.. i don't know how your post office is (i would imagine they're all the same), but the tracking slip is a totally separate piece of paper (neon yellow/green and white).. well there's no tracking slip and she knows to get shipping confirmation, just like all the parts i ship for the micro business.. WHICH, there were several other boxes returned with 'postage payment denied (or declined, whichever it said)' written on them.. you're not the only 1 breathing down my neck right now, but it has been handled and i can't do a thing about the problems that arose while i was 1000+ miles away
You just now decided to tell folks that YOU took the package to the PO initially. The only thing that was mentioned before was "Mom this" and "Mom that". Therein lies the confusion.
I also call BS on the having packages returned for payment denied if you went in PERSONALLY and used a CC. They run the CC at that time, if it's declined it will decline then...not after you leave. Even the PO's in the 'hood around here swipe and run the card at the point of sale.

Shadow, one day, you might grow a pair and take care of your own . Then you may get a shred of respect on your side. In the mean time, you are litterly whining. The real world is either going to eat you alive, or your going to grow up. Until one of those two things happen, go away. Learn from this, start over, take responsability for YOUR actions, and get over yourself.

I also call BS on the having packages returned for payment denied if you went in PERSONALLY and used a CC. They run the CC at that time, if it's declined it will decline then...not after you leave. Even the PO's in the 'hood around here swipe and run the card at the point of sale.
WRONG, because it's happened before with this card.. notoriously at gas stations.. it will start pumping then click off, as if the balance hit zero

yes, but never in a store or post office.. CVS once, but that was my original card and it happened on the spot.. the new 1 (well.. not new, expires the end of this year) has only done it at the gas pump until now

I'm going to have to also agree with Chuck's calling BS. Every time I have been to the Post Office it goes like this....
USPS worker: Anything liquid, fragile, or hazardous?
Me: No.
USPS Worker: Do you need insurance, package confirmation,or tracking?
Me: No, thanks.
USPS Worker: *punches in zip code, prints out postage and attaches to box* Any stamps or shipping supplies today?
Me: No, thanks.
USPS Worker: That will be 36.79
Me: *Swipes card and puts in PIN number*
USPS Worker: Here is your receipt, have a great day.
Me: Thanks, you too.
The transaction is completed, the postage is on the box, everything is done. I can't imagine the computer starting to beep and buzz after I leave and make the guy rip the postage off the box.

LMAO Bull S*it. The purchase with a CC (or debit card) is either approved, or it's declined at the point of sale.
Some gas stations will stop the pump, regardless of your card type at $50 and require you to re-swipe though.

Good grief...
I'll just throw this out there -- and I'm NOT pointing fingers.
Person A has a $1000 transaction with person B who pays person A said $1000 for an item/service/whatever. Said money is delivered yet the item/service/whatever that was paid for is not. Person B files a civil lawsuit. Upon the court date, person A states he/she left responsibility of delivery of said item/service/whatever in the hands of person C whom apparently did not do as requested by person A.
Does anyone here think that a jury would let person A slide on this and NOT award person B any money?
I realize there is no lawsuit here, but the basic scenario I typed out -- IMHO -- is how many people are viewing what transpired. From what I had read, it did in fact sound that way to me at least.

I want to change my vote, let's leave it open. This can be the new pissed off becaue thread when "shadow" is eventually banned. We can all come back here and talk about how big of a post w he was, and how much he loves attention.
Like how he posts about how cruddy american cars are on honda forums, complains about how cruddy ls motors are on chevy forums, and complains about how cruddy the sbf is on a ford forum. He has to constantly jump from forum to forum because he is easy to see through, adds nothing but background noise to every thread, and pretends that itsokay to screw other people over and still tries to be your friend.
I'm gonna guess that your the kind of guy that jas never held a real job, plays wow, and e-thugs others using a vast array of email's to sign up different user names to ensure someone will always agree with him.
I've had the same user name since 2003 on this forum, the same two emails since 1998, and I don't hide from anyone. I also don't go out of my way to start arguments and sell people stuff and then not come through and blame everyone else in the world except myself. I also worked for a mail carrier. Never once did a package come back, unless it was ripped up or open.
Everyonce in a while I do have a bad day though. Just the fact that you like to screw with people just for irrritation is enough that I rode you off the first day I notice your existance on this forum.
One day I might get pissed off enough to post how I really feel.

Haystack, hope you don't get mad at my last post. Just had to add a little comedy.
I do not agree with Shadow's handling of this situation. However, other than that I have no problem with him. I enjoy his posts. He has a unique opinion on things. Sometimes I agree with him. Sometimes I don't. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I do have to ask. His number of posts is combined with his old username right? Otherwise it would be amazing!
Title: umm.. wtf?!
Post by: Haystack on April 25, 2012, 02:34:31 AM
Nope, in less then a year he has post wd his way up past 2k posts. In 9 years or so I've only hit about 3 times that, and I was a bit of a post w when I was like 16.
You also have a very short memory shadow. When your leg was broken and you have over 1k posts in two months, I called you out and linked to multipul sites you were on, asking very stupid and basic questions, like how to do a tune up on a honda, then overnight you became an expert engine builder on a camaro forum and built custome high dollar turbo's. And also your father "stole" your old username, so you created one of your own if you were to remember right.
What kind of idiot doesn't know what the largest game in the wold was, especially when it premeired when they were in high school? World of warcraft. If you have spent a day on you tube, or walked a day through a high school in the 2000's you know what it is. Your actually older then me, so you should know even better.
What I think is really funny is how you just pretend like none of those things happened and expect no one to notice. Unfortinately, I did notice. I feel dumber for even knowing it.
So just for fun, how many jobs have you had, and how long did you work them? Just curious, since I am so wrong on everything, even the things you've previously claimed doing.

I didn't chime in on this thread. Didn't feel like I needed to, but now, I am compelled to. I just posted the results of my package on my thread titled "SHADOW". 100% disappointment. bad business. bad everything. Nothing as described. You told me in one of your last PM's that you had hubs in the box. No hubs as I was told there would be. Nothing was right. I'm wanting my money back, PLUS the shipping charges if you want this back. I want a Postal Money Order. No personal checks. No bank checks. Nothing that can fail me. I've had about enough of that . You totally wasted a month of my time for nothing.

There's something missing all together:
Respect.
Vinnie, in addition to the refund for the junk he sent, he should ALSO cough up the $ for everything he said he was going to send you, whether it's from an ebay seller, CL, or somebody who is otherwise more trustworthy than his lying carcass. Apparently there is a name in silver marker on the bottom of the box that shows "Mike J". Perhaps the name leads to another ..........whatever....to deal with. Money back. Easy as that. Send my money. Place a POSTAL MONEY ORDER in an envelope PERSONALLY...YOURSELF.......USING YOUR OWN HANDS......., addressed to me, and send it with the appropriate postage. Sending it with tracking would be even better so there's not a line of reasons it wasn't shipped, got lost, left in the car, somebody else didn't send it when they were supposed to, postage was denied, was sent back, or whatever. Just refund my money. Nothing else is wanted from you except a refund, and shipping fees if you want the wheels back. I Use UPS as they provide better tracking, and never cause me grief.
SEND MY MONEY BACK. It's that easy. I don't care who's name is added to the package you sent. I don't care what was SUPPOSED to be sent but wasn't. I don't care about who messed up this time. SEND MY MONEY BACK.

This is the biggest waste of friggin' time I've spent in ages. I had my checkbook stolen, along with my debit card, checks, a check for parts I sold but I didn't cash yet, and some cash, and I got most all of that taken care of in 7 days, and with a LOT less effort.. This has been a complete joke since I mailed that envelope.
Through all of it, I didn't call you names, make false accusations, or imply anything that wasn't true. I tried to stay positive from the first. Re-read all I have stated here. I hung in there as long as I could, but this was it. Send my money back.
