Post by: SR71blackbird on April 22, 2012, 02:20:22 AM
So ive been looking into fixing up my suspension for awhile now and i was wondering if this would work? Ive read that Chuck W atleast used to make brackets for a mustang spring to work on our cars. Id also like to put a coil over setup on as well.
I am looking at these.

Or i could save up alot of money and buy this. But im curious how much work it would take to make this stuff fit on a bird.

If I had the money.  That is exactly what I would do to my t-bird.  I'm not sure how much fabrication it would require.

Many of those parts will fit, but not all.  A call to MM is best to sort out the mix of parts for good install.  They're familiar with the differences between our cars and Mustangs, offering Caster/Camber plates, subframe connectors and lower control arms specifically for Fox Thunderbirds.

Different spring rates may be recommended due to the greater weight compared to a Mustang.  The Panhard Rod and TracLink may require modification as our rear ends are in a slighly different position (due to the longer control arms) and the longer wheel base.

In my experience they are willing to work with you to make sure the stuff you get fits!
