I've had this car for a couple weeks now, and one thing kept bugging me.. my feet are too big for the pedals! ( only size 12 EE) my shoe would barely fit between the brake pedal and the trans tunnel, and then it would get caught under the brake pedal when i was using the gas. so, i found a smaller pad off my 70 ford torino.... and then I cut the metal pad area down on the tbird pedal small enough to fit the new smaller pad. worked like a charm, my feet fit fine now, and the pedal proportions just feel more 'natural' now.

I wear 14 wide or 15 regular, and I wore 18" tall lineman boots in my 87 bird almost everyday, and 14w steel toe on days I didn't. I have to lean the seat way back so I can see traffic lights and not hit my head on the roof over bumps, and my left knee needs to sit just right to not hit the steering wheel when I opened and shut the door.
I have driven every car I have owned with my foot turned to the side and my knee to the middle so I don't bump the colum shifter into neutral.
I basically always use my toes on the pedal and roll my foot forward on the side of my heel. Kinda hard to picture, but hopefully I conveyed it correctly. The 5 speed pedals are also slightly smaller, and you can "shim" the brake pedal slightly further away. I have never really looked close at fixing it, or changing the driving position. I really like the manual seat tracks because of how much lower you sit in the seat. Gives me at least, a lot more room.
