My first time to Carlisle.. Its larger than I could have imagined. You need more than a day to cover it all, but I didn't even have that as I had to leave on the early side...
Great display of T-birds thru the years. Saw a few board member cars, but most owners were out walking the show.
Here's nearly all the photos my cheap digital camera could hold;
View from the top of the hill (Still doesn't show everything!)

it was a great event
i got home about 20 minutes ago
it was great seeing everyone, meeting new people, seeing people i havnt seen in a year or two, and then the actual show was great, lots of great cars
I wish I could have gone but I was scheduled to work(and am still working right now).
*Drops head and cries* :disappoin
I'd really like to see more pics from the show if anyone has any.
bondocougar: Sweet arrangement of photos. :D How many are there like 10 or 11 to make up that shot from the hill?
ill have some up later, most of my pics are tbirds though
Doesn't make a difference. I like them all the same. I just would like to get a little taste of what I missed.
ill have pics up later aswell lol, few shots of everything. got a new hood/taillights for the mustang :) didnt see anyone I recognized but shawn...and he drove up behind me.

thats the directory of images, most of the cars are NATO members, there are some cougar boys, and some other board members cars in there
Link doesn't work bro.
Mornin everyone! I got a few. Not a lot of Cougar or T-bird pics, just a mix of some stuff I took.....
This was a nice 77 Bronco I saw.....
This one caught my eye as well. It's a 2003 Sonic Blue Mustang Cobra with a Kenne Bell supercharger. No doubt good for over 500 RWHP. Can you see what is different about it?
The old Galaxies and Comets are really strting to grow on me. I might have to revise my most wanted vehicles list to include one......
Some pics of the car and the Commander. She's due Sept. 12. It's gonna be a girl :D
On a side note There were probably 20 or so 05 Mustangs at the event on Saturday. Most had left by Sunday. Of those 4 had exhaust mods, 3 had intake kits. Only 2 combined BOTH with a compu7ter tune (mine being one :D ) and I was the only guy with headers!
automatic
i dont know why the link is down, they musta found out that i have like, 4 accounts
I doubt it.... Bandwidth mayhaps?
i just found that even the main site is down
does my signature work for you? i can see it on my computer, but that might be because of my cache
Nope. I got the old little white box with the red X in it...
alright, so my host is down completely
its a shame i didnt get to run into ya, or i might have and not known it
Dunno about the automatic, though something about the steering wheel looks different. :dunno:

The polish work on this TC OWNS!

Hey, I was there for the Capt. America Mustang run! He pulled a 436 at the wheels.
wow, I walked up there right as they started to take it off the dyno :(
Then you missed how long it took the poor guy to back it up onto the dyno. He musta stalled about 15 times :toilet:
Anybody catch the burnout contest? I noticed every car in it had some type of posi. They all kept slidin to the left. Now if they had a locker like me....... :D When that Primer Grey pickup pulled in I told my wife that that was gonna be the winner. She gave me the WTF? look. I shoulda bet her a footrub or somethin like that :giggle:
burnout contest was awesome, anybody have pics of it? me and my gf left the camera at the hotel when we went back and didnt realize until we parked again...:( Parked at some lil pizza shop by gate1, next to shawn like the 1st time and I didnt see the owner walking around so we hurried back across the street to not pay again :D
Got my mach1 style hood on my car that I bought there on yesterday, still needs some sanding and maybe some light bondo, but I got it for 140 :)
Ill be bringing my car to carlisle next year, so look for a black primer hatchback in the burnout contest...tires are comming off :D :D :D
Also with the burnout contest, I think they were spraying to much water near the front, plus they had to drive through it and the front wheels got all wet so that didnt help either, great non-the-less. the cobra at the end was nice, 1st time I got to see those kuhmo tires in person. Seen a vid of it online about a month ago though.
I left my camera back at the car and by the time I realized it I woulda missed some of the fun. Those Kuhmos WERE cool :headbang:
rumor has it that theyre about 1,000 bucks a pop
Also related to the burnout contest. The 2 '05 Mustangs that entered....The first one had a computer tune that removed the torque management. That's why he did pretty good and the second guy sucked....
yeh the 2nd guy blew horribly, the 1ts 05 was decent but he didnt hold it hardly.
i talked to him about it, he said he's got a few more items coming back from the plating shop, and he has some other stuff coming back from powdercoating, and he cant think of anything else to plate/polish/dip/powerdercoat
i pointed at his gillis valve, and was like "buy one of his polished or plated ones", he was like "nah, its like, 40 bucks", but he spent about 180 on plating and powdercoating a few weeks before
check out this thread on the Carlisle board, a member there posted a few pics of the burnouts.

OMG I love you guys for posting all those pictures! I wasn't able to go because I'm laid up on crutches now. I broke my foot! It sucks. The pics are great! So how many new members were recruted?
Anyone who saw this car know if it was a real 30th anniv car? It kinda looks like it in a few of the pics. That would be the fastest 30th out there!!!
Great pics guys, you all rock!
i didnt look, but there was an immaculant anniversary car there, i got distracted by a mint 87 TC, so i didnt get pics
Yeah I saw a bit of that 30th in another picture. Man, if only that show was closer to TX! :(
He pulled in right behind me on Friday to register. That's one BAD BIRD!
i actually thought it was you at first
, I knew I shoulda tried to go to this. Next year maybe. BTW Nick, about what did it cost to put her on the dyno? PM me if you dont wanna say...
I understand that there was a smoke claoud at the hotel or restaurant close to the hotel. Can any one fill the rest of us in on this? Did any one get the name, car description, or even pictures? If so let us know. From what I heard, this car is not a slouch but not the quickest car out there either.
It makes me sick that I wasn't able to go this year (again). Looks like y'all had a great time.
I will be at CJ.
Are there any Lincoln Mark VII owners reading this that are unaware of our efforts concerning Mark VIIs at the 2006 show?
In 2005, Lincoln Mark VII partition was at (I'm told) an all time high with about 20 cars. This was primarily due to plenty of advanced notice of the show dates, lots of Club activity, and plenty of Owners that just wanted a better parking space :)
Seriously though, a Carlisle winner himself, Bill "BMNLSC" drafted a letter to the Carlisle Staff, requesting splits in our class. They responded quickly noting that our concern "... has been placed in the Ford file for the new planner."
Having only one class for Lincoln Mark VII 1984-1992 S/M does NOT promote competition or originality or creativenes. Stock and Modified and Special Edition and Aftermarket should not have to compete with each other in the same class.
True, the Lincoln Mark VII was only produced for nine years, but the final product came in a BUNCH of flavors with:
six factory models,
Base
Bill Blass
Gianni Versace
LSC
Special Edition (no chrome)
Turbodiesel
three aftermarket models,
Convertible
GTC
Roadster
four different engines,
115 hp L Turbodiesel
140 hp F
200 hp M (1986-1987)
225 hp E (1988-1992)
and a list of standard and optional equipment that continues to surpass cars manufactured today. If you own a Lincoln Mark VII of any year, make, model, quality, or quantity, I'd like to hear from you directly or in this Forum.
Thank you and here's to a fun 2006 season!

this would be a great thread on a lincoln board. Hope you get the splits.
Thanks.
I hope we get the splits too.
Could you imagine only 5 classes of Cougar judging instead of the current 10?
Could you imagine only 7 classes of Thunderbird judging instead of the current 14?
Lincoln owners, especially Lincoln Mark VII owners, want to bring our delemma to everyone's
attention. The Carlisle Ford Nations thread is a good place to inform the dual/triple/quad
owners of Ford/Lincoln/Mercury products that may not be aware of what's going on with thier
Fox Body Cousins.

1984-1985 Lincoln Mark VII Turbo Diesel
1984-1987 Lincoln Mark VII Modified
1988-1989 Lincoln Mark VII Modified
1990-1991 Lincoln Mark VII Modified
What is so special about the '88? Just a lot of people have them?
I dunno.
If you were asking about the 1988 Lincoln Mark VII I'd have to say that 1988 was a banner year for the Mark VII series as the LSC's power plant now boasted a standard 225 hp high output version of the 302 (5.0) The LSC and Bill Blass were so loaded with standard features that the only options available were power sun roof, anti-theft alarm system, California emissions system, engine block heater, auto dimming rear view mirror, and a front license plate bracket. 16" aluminum turbine wheels were introduced as standard for the LSC model. Total production hit a high of 38,259 units that would not be surpassed in the following years.
I don't know much about Thunderbirds.
