im new here but always loved the fox mustangs. I was handed down a 86 Thunderbird Elan 5.0. Paint is faded and the chrome exterior trim needs to be replaced along with a new header panel. But she runs smooooth!
Anyways. Ive searched around and am having a hard time finding weatherstrip and mouldings for her. Ive asked around the last swap meet we had here in Dallas and no one could be much help. Everyone just told me to pull the motor and trans then sell the car so i can install in a mustang.
Yeah they don't really make any aftermarket weatherstripping for our cars anymore. And the people you talked to have it backwards the T-bird SO 5.0 is way weaker compare to the Mustangs HO 5.0.
Well that bites. I will just have to keep searching. Engine wise I was had planned on full exhaust, intake manifold, bigger TB and cobra cam w/ 1.6 RR. Its just a project car but would like to get some better trim pieces. It sucks because on my other fox mustangs I was able to get all the trim replaced.
