This needs to be handled yesterday. I never have had to go through this  on our forum to handle a matter, but I need results that are on the  level, honest, and as they were said they were.

I don't like it either. This forum probably has the best record of  classifieds success of any forum I've seen. But as the buyer, the guy  who sent the funds that were asked for, how long should I, or anyone,  have to wait to get what you paid for. I can wait a couple of weeks. No  issues, but a buyer shouldn't have to chase the seller.

Shame302.......I DID have a matter that I dealt with. I've never hid it. Was VERY open about it so people would know. Myself and another individual (who had access to parts I didn't), decided to sell parts together, and split the money. I sold parts, he pulled them and gave them to me when he had what I was looking for to sell. He took off, no parts, no money, and I was left holding the bag.....of no parts to ship, and no funds. I went out, found the parts that were obligated to people (took the H-pipe from my car), and made things right with everyone. I have the highest feedback here on the forum, and make sure every deal is handles, and if a part was bad....which is rare .....sent replacements. I've even sent parts, that through loose communication, were wrong, and when I found out, I sent replacements, without asking for a return on the first piece. I can't even tell you how many free parts I've sent out because I was just able to. I do what I have to do, I have always treated people right. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here, and have the reputation I have here. Very few members here have NOT done business with me.

If he hoses Vinnie then I don't think he is going to have much love from anyone around here.  Vinnie is a has been great to deal with in the few things I've been involved with him on.

I'm glad you opened it back up. He did the same thing to me. Only I got lucky, the friend who's paypal account he had me send the money to stepped after I filed a dispute and refunded my money. It wouldn't be honest not to bring it up the way he called the kid out, not that I'm defending said kid. hopefully it works out. for 1, i'm 'out of town' at least 5 days a week, beings my shop is in DE.. i'm sorry that i had an emergency that was more important than visiting the post office personally.. now let me elaborate..

i got a call at 10:36AM from ADT that the alarm at the shop was going off.. i have thousands of dollars of equipment, parts, motors, etc in that building, so i'd have to be a complete moron not to run over there immediately, to see what the deal was.. my mom had nothing to do today, so she offered to take it.. i haven't seen or heard from her since i left this morning, i just know that there's no tracking slip here, just the receipt that shows the amount paid.. i don't know how your post office is (i would imagine they're all the same), but the tracking slip is a totally separate piece of paper (neon yellow/green and white).. well there's no tracking slip and she knows to get shipping confirmation, just like all the parts i ship for the micro business.. WHICH, there were several other boxes returned with 'postage payment denied (or declined, whichever it said)' written on them.. you're not the only 1 breathing down my neck right now, but it has been handled and i can't do a  thing about the problems that arose while i was 1000+ miles away

I hate to see this (or any) community have to deal with these issues. Maybe some sort of vetting process should be implemented in order to get the privilege of using the classifieds area(s)?

Scott, you clearly dont know me at all.......im no kiss ass, and i just want to see all those involved have a successful conclusion to the problem at hand.  I have taken no sides, i have stated that Vinnie has a great reputation, and that Chris is a friend who has helped me out numerous times.  I want both parties to finish this and move on.  My comments about the FBI were not intended to mock you or create a personal attack.  I just think this is beyond out of hand, and all the peanut gallery comments are not helping this along at all.  No hard feelings...... as for the comments about my mother handling shipping and my finances, that's what she does to help me and my business.. a lot of businesses pay accountants to handle money, pay bills, etc.. i use my mom, as she's handy with a calculator, bank accounts and money management.. plus, she's no crook and doesn't charge me 1 red cent.. and as for the shipping aspect, it all falls in line with the finances

i took an alternative route.. i went out and painted my calipers, struts, spindles, springs and anything else that fell in the line of fire from the paint can.. LOL

Shadow asked for my address through a PM a couple of days ago to mail a refund. I gave it.

Last night, when I got home from work, he had sent a message through Facebook asking for my address due to his internet being down (or something like that), so I sent it. I received another Facebook message stating it should be out "In the AM". Which would be this morning. I'm waiting to hear something. I'll post any results....or lack of results. That's all I have right now. Just waiting.

I couldn't agree more Vinnie. I don't know what's going on with the members on this site, but I'm dealing with the same situation with a seller on here. Haven't heard from them in almost three weeks, and they don't return pm's or email, and I know they're logging on here on a somewhat regular basis. It's just frustrating, and I know how you feel.

I actually don't expect anything from him. Was I hoping he would do the right thing? Of course. Perhaps it's lost somewhere....or whatever. My concern is that people beware. I hope it was worth what he got out of it.

As far as breaking out the ban stick, I am not posting any opinion on that in either direction. That's not my decision to make, so, I'll just stay away from that.

As far as Chris goes, He has proven his business ethics to me. Maybe the refund will show, maybe it won't. At this point, he is beyond worrying about.

At least Vinnie got lame excuses. I'd prefer that to total silence and no communication from the seller.

It really sucks you're still having to put up with this  from him Vinnie! I did at least get my money back from him after putting up with pretty much the same excuses he's been giving you. One thing he's proven his self good at is excuses and not accepting blame.

Is it too late to give him a negative feed back? If I had done it in the first place Vinnie might not have had to go through all this. Banning shadow would not have any effect, as he'd just come back under a new name (like he has already done). No, it's better to have Vinnie's post with his real name, so people will know not to deal with him (if they bother checking the feedback before buying)

If you read on sbftech, on the the admins actually offered to ship stuff for shadow if it was an issue doing it on his own. I was asked to drop it, and I will. But I think I did get his attention, and that's all I ment to do.

Well I guess there's some positive things to take away from this incident - in fact I've learned two things:

1. Never trust a person on a car enthusiast forum that lists 9 cars in his sig, yet is unable to make it out of the house because mom apparently took the only real/running vehicle.
2. Never trust a person on a car enthusiast forum that is "owner, operator, fabricator, painter, etc." of a shop with "thousands of dollars worth of equipment," but insists on doing half-assed, bootleg car work on cinder blocks in his front yard.

Just so you guys know, I didn't push this fr the drama. Vinnie is a good guy with a well proven track record. I was trying to get him a refund, not screw with the kid. I know there's a lot more to the sotry that we don't know. I'm glad he can't sell on the other forum, but it sucks that it had to go down this way.

Yeah, we understand. Vinnie goes out of his way to do parts deals here. Although he is not the most knowledged one here, he tries to help us with anything we are doing. He has kind of "been there and done that" with a lot of things with these cars and has very good taste with appearance mods. You just can't beat his attitude and willingness to help. There is no one on this forum I would most like to meet. Unfortunately, I feel it is time for this thread to end. It is apparent that Vinnie will never get his money back. Chris has been pulling this same  all over the net. Haystack, I commend you for doing what you did. All I can say is that was way cool.

The problem is the guy is to much of a bitch to do the right thing and admit his mistake,  it's not hard to mail a check, or send a payment online.  I do it 10 times a month to pay bills; and never have I had the kind of problems this guy has with the USPS.  I feel really bad for you Vinnie, from what I see around here, you are a nice, honest, well respected guy and unfortunately you had to learn a hard lesson for the rest of us here not to do business with this douche

(I think you paypaled him so I'm not sure but If you mailed your payment, that's a federal offense.)
