I dont want to do it wrong and break the piece
Wow , I haven't seen one of those intact in years , I believe it just pops out with some downward force
The bushing shouldnt come off unless you need it for the another TB. I use a flat screwdriver and pop the tv cable out of the bushing. If it were me, Id leave the bushing and get a new one if I needed it for another TB.
I need to put this on a different throttle body. So i press down in the middle of it with a screw driver or do i put the screw driver under it and pry it?
A door panel trim tool works for popping the linkage off. Like said use a new bushing, you can get brass ones from ford.
You can also get a new bushing from the "Help" section of Napa
Those plastic bushings are pr0ne to breakage, letting the TV cable drop and then...burnt up tranny. I found out the hard way. Get the brass one.
ok im calling up ford now! thank you very much for the help!
They said they dont know anything about a brass one but they have a plastic one
Call a different dealer ....with this number F3SZ-7H303-B
Okay thank you very much!!!
let Vinnie get one for you! he is the Man btw!!
If you can't get it I got extras I can mail you one. When I bought mine from Ford they sold me a 5 pack,I guess they will last 5 life times.
