Title says it all. Explain why you chose the avatar you have. Some of us have used our cars, our wives, cartoon characters, or even car parts for avatars. I have a blue bird as an avatar because I thought since I own a T-Bird my avatar should be a bird and why not have a bird the same color as my car.
Mine is my old 83. It's a shot of the 73 hood ornament I had on it, with the primer TC hood I had at the time. I suppose I should make a new one out of my current cat.
Mine is my current car . My father's Town Car
my 57mm garrett
I like everything zombie related so when I saw on the news that somebody had hacked some road construction signs to warn of zombies I just had to have it. I did not have an avatar prior to this one.
Mine's an Electroluminescent Thunderbird emblem that's on my 84. Apparently it was an 83 only option, but what ever.
I don't remember what mine signifys...
I thought it was your picture Tom lol..
mine is easy to figure out :)
Isn't that the guy who sold Arnie Cunningham a car ???
from memory, sure looks like him.. and it's not
A car, it was
The car lol
The car's name was Christine.
My avatar is a Ford Motorsport license plate I scanned in and posterized so I can change the colors to whatever.

looks like the unibomber to me..
btw mine is my silver TC back in 2006
It's kind of funny. One tends to see the avatars and gets the feeling that that picture is who they are talking to. When I read your posts its like its coming from an old man who's been around the block a few times. Kind of makes me want to rethink my avatar. Who listens to the birds?!
Never made the connection. I think ur right.
Makes me laugh every time.
Mine is a picture of yours truly, looking through the driver side mirror of my cougar
Its funny I was thinking of starting a similar thread, except that it would be to explain some of the usernames around here lol... you know like mine is my initials sarj and then three x's just to take up space for places that require 6 characters or whatever and I just have stuck with it for a looooong time
I remember when Tom had the guy from Bum Fights!
Mines the back wheel from my Mustang. Snapped a shot of it one night for kicks and realized it actually came out quite nice upon review..... Shrunk it down and put it in my upper left hand corner.
One can google mine..it's called a triquetra.
Can mean or stand for several things, but to me, not so much as "mainstream", as what I'd call....."earthy".
Mine is a picture of my bird on the day i finally won first place at my towns local car show. Proud of it cuz usually whoever donates most wins instead of the car being judged, but not that year!!!!!. If you squint your eyes really hard, you can see i was a smartass and took a pic with the trophy on the air cleaner ; )
Mine is a spinning Ford oval, I saw it and it seemed like a decent idea to use it as I have no imagination at times....LOL
Your avatar takes the award for most clever. Not just you, but your reflection in the rear view mirror. I started using "Chrome" as a username many years ago. I don't remember why I chose it, but I use it on the internet always. I like to keep my name concealed for privacy and safety. I don't care on this site. You are all becoming my internet friends. If any of you would like to you can call me by my real name. I'm Derik.
Someone found an 80-82 cougar on ebay that was the "Steel Cat" edition, I can't find the Leads section thread, must have been lost. It had that emblem on the vinyl half-top. I took that picture and horribly quick-and-dirty photoshopped it to say "Steely Cat" like Steely Dan :giggle:
Mine is a pic of a winking cougar....a photographer was out taking pics of this cat all week and it was just sitting there and winked while pics were being taken of it. the pic is now all over the internet since I had come across it in 2007.
If you search winking cougar... you'll find many versions of it now
Mine is the "U" for the University of South Florida, the school I attend here in Tampa. I graduate this May with my accounting degree and honestly couldn't be happier!
An extreme close-up of my car.
Mine is the front of my car shortly after I painted it. :D
Yep the name is George LeBay, at least so in the movie, I'm not sure of the actors actual name...
These days we do bear a similar resemblance, with my grandson Nathaniel....

Mine is just the engine going into my car.
Mine is a gasser 50's T-bird. For a long time I had Mr. Wilson from Dennis the Menace because my last name is Wilson and it seems like people are always yelling "hey Mr. Wilsssssoooooooonnnnn" at me.
When things get to serious like planning to take over the world. Naarff comes to mind. That and the old avatar was of the car when it was black. So I needed a change
It took me 3 months in 2009 to convince Paula that those green-eyes looked so cool at night time so I posted them on here...

3 months and 20 minutes of installation...:poke:
Mine is angled close up of the grill of my 88 cougar. Im sure everybody new this already. LOL.
Hahaha thanks I thought it was kinda clever at the time too... I was looking for a way to get me and my car in the same shot and since I didn't have anyone to take a picture of me in the car.... I didn't mean to look so angry though... I don't know what that's about lol
Yeah I always thought it looked as if someone had just rear-ended you and that was your "reaction face"!
I always thought it was him looking out a sunroof, heh
lmao
Mine is me...
and sicne it was brought up, my screen name is my CB handle, given to me by an old trucker that I helped out once... 'little' because I'm only 5' tall.
i find that post count to be a conspiracy! lol 5' tall? holy shortness!
Mine's the tail light of my '97
My wife is 5'2" (lol I'm 6'4") so that didn't seem that odd to me. :D
I am AV-less! :( Never even give a thought to uploading an AV TBH, maybe I'll come up with something. :D
Mine is my maverick back in it's ford motor days
Hay good things come in small packages. My mom is 5' and my youngest sister is 4'10". just saying!!!
Mine is the Midnighters mystery motor Being Built !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe this thread can give you some ideas.
I was just about to ask whacha workin' on in yours.
Ok so I changed it.. It is me and my daugter a couple days after she was born:)
Wow! Best Avatar on the site.
+++++ 1000 ^^^^^ Steve has the best one bar none
hahah Thanks guys:D
She's my girl.
Tom, my older sister is 4' 10". LOL
Most of you haven't seen my youngest daughter either, she's 13, in 8th grade and looks like she's about the size of a 9 yr old. But, my boys are 6' and 5' 10", they tower over me.
As for the post count... LMAO, I forgot a certain site helper did that several years ago, I have no idea what my actual count is.
Makes you look very talkative!
Mine is some exterminator's car.
mine speaks for itself
A ghost exterminator? Lol
Mine's a pic of my Bird taken a few years ago in the fall.
Just changed mine to "Wilson" from Castaway...another play on my last name. I will have to admit I got a little choked up at the end of that movie when Wilson is floating away from Tom Hanks. lol.
Mine is a schematic of a 83 Bird......so this way i know where to connect the flux capacitor.
"Someone saw a pen 15roach up on 12."
Agreed. Good acting, but terrible story line.
Really? I enjoyed it...
LOL...... More like a plane wreck of a movie.
Ok finally picked one! :D
An output shot of my projectors on low beams!!:welder:
Mine is a pic of me with what appears to be an enormous bottle of Mountain Dew. My buddy, who took the pic, is actually holding the normal sized bottle and I am about 20 feet away. A little optical illusion, worked pretty well.
Mine was shot last year at NMRA World Finals.
