This is what happens when someone turns left on green and you run into them.

The car I punished for pulling out in front of me.

Most likely going to be fully their fault. I had a green and they decided to turn across traffic, even though they couldn't see what was coming.
I was probably doing 40 when I hit.
Once I got the radiator pulled away from the engine, I drove the car up into the drive.
. Think youre going to be able to save the volvo?
Ouch, that's the good thing about Volvos though; they're safe cars.
Well, from the looks of it, I don't think you'll have to worry about that other car anymore. I think a tree would be proud of the curvature you seem to have induced.
Are YOU ok ??
Yup, just going to be a little sore the next couple days.
Good to hear you're okay Chuck. Sucks about the Volvo. Always liked the way it looked.
Glad you are OK! Sucks about the Volvo though.
Glad to hear you're ok Chuck. Too bad about the Volvo, but it sacrificed it self to keep you safe.
Nice impression of a tree you did though..... lol
Wow, that was quite a hit! Glad to see you're okay. How about the people that got hit? If there was a passenger, by the looks of the car I'd say they're going to be hurting for quite a while.
There wasn't anyone in the pass seat, but she did have a child in the back seat. The driver might've banged her head on the side window, but the little girl was OK.
That's good the little one was okay. You would think people would be more careful when they have kids in the car. I bet she will be from now on.
Glad to hear everyone is OK.
Darn Chuck, I'm glad you are OK!
Glad every one is okay. Knew it was going to be ugly after seeing pics of the Volvo. Those are tough. Not to sound insensitive but kudos for taking out that SB. I can't wait for the day to see mine in a crusher.
I was just looking at one of those Volvos the other day. I don't know why I like them but I do. http://providence.craigslist.org/ctd/2774073884.html
I tried same back in the mid 70s, needless to say it was my fault... Totaled a '69 Dodge company van(he he wasn't mine).. Big ole Chevy Kingswood s/w caught it at the RR wheel, which spun it end for end and it tipped over on it's side... Was still running, I turned off the ign switch to kill it...
Sux about the 'lvo, glad everyone was OK...
From a distance until we zoomed in, I thought it had a ferarri dancing horse on the front lol
bummer about the car though
I thought the same thing. Glad everyone is OK
Nope, "Prancing Moose" ;)
Glad everyone is ok, that Volvo must be a pretty solid car. You plan on keeping it or junking it?
Ouch. Glad you and they came out unhurt, Chuck.
Well at least you took one more pos Taurtoise off the road;) (former owner lol)
It was even worse than a Taurus...it was an Alero.
Definitely worse. I'm putting an engine in ours next week. Hateful little cars.
Glad you're ok.
oh wow yep I guess it was... all late 90's sedans look alike :rollin:
Glad you're alright Chuck could of been much worse..
Couple more pics of the bent car.
The second one shows that the front of the car is definitely tweaked. There is normally about 1/2" or so between the master cylinder and the strut tower.

So are you going to try to throw it on the frame machine or just get what you can out of it and mourn the loss?
It'll be stripped. I'll have less effort swapping parts into another one than I would trying to get this one straight again.
Looked like a rough hit...a lesser car and you may have been hurt (worse).
Bummer about the whole deal, and I'm sure you've heard the sentiment too many times, but there's more Volvo sedans, not so many Chuck W's...
;)
Something tells me you need more than just the grill now from Sweden ....
It'll buff right out. Glad all is ok.
