Title: Name plate on EFI problem
Post by: flylear45 on December 14, 2011, 04:28:32 PM
The bolt holes are hogged out where my name plate should bolt onto the intake.

I was thinking that I'd just JB weld them shut then make new holes.

Anyone have a better idea?

??? Drill and tap them for a slighty bigger size bolt ??

small helicoil? Kind of overkill, but hell, if it works. (you can tell people your engine makes so much power that the plaque got shook off..lol)

Sheet metal screws. At least that is what I would do.

Or I would just leave the plate off.

i hog it out with a bigger self tapper with purdy gold chromate counter sink phillups,, yep lowes has them.

If thier not self tappers, then just file the end of the bolt at a diagonal at the end so it is.
