How do you adjust the wiper blades I had my windshield changed a few months ago and hate them now. They don't come to rest as far as they used too also they go up too far and hit the window trim.. Any ideas?
as in the top of the windshield trim? if that's the case you have the wrong length blades.. but it's simple to adjust them.. simply take the wiper arm off, clock it in your preffered direction and drop them back on
No the window trim on the side. I thought that was it but thought there might be something else.
your windshield installer did not install the wipers on the correct "set" of notches.
with your wipers at resting position,
locate the tiny tab where the arm is attached.
pry out that tap with a flat blade screw driver
place a towel around your work area to protect paint
place a small wood block near the arm attachment area
pry up on the arm "fitting" that is attached to the do hicky that rotates.
now "reset" the arm on the next set of notches counter clock wise of where is it was before.
done.
Thanks guys it drives me crazy when they do not come all the way down smd out of sight.
heck mine do the opposite. They come down to far and sit on the cowl, and don't clean my whole windshield. Sweet now I know how to fix it. 1 more no cost repair YES!!!!!
I believe you have to lift the wiper arm off the glass to get the little lever to pry out, if I remember correctly
Still have not done anything with this yet...
yes.. i should have mentioned that, apparently i was thinking of my S10 and sonoma, which have a nut on them.. i'll run out and take a couple pics of how it's done, so it's a no brainer
you'll see where i put the end of my pick.. you can use a screw driver or something with a point to lightly pry the clip out from under the wiper arm.. don't pry hard or else it'll bend/break. it just slides out a tiny bit.. lift the wiper blade before you pry/pull and it'll slide right out.. once you slide the clip out, you can let go of the wiper arm, it'll rest on the clip and stay up.. just wiggle it a bit and it'll pop right off.. move them to your desired location, pull up on the arm and push the clip back in.. drop the arm and you're done

Good pic.
That's the ticket, to get the blade way up in the air before you pry inward on the clip. It'll slide really easily once you have it high enough. Then relax the blade down onto the clip and the arm slides right off.
It took me a couple of tries to get mine in the best parked position while staying off the side trim during run.
Thx for the pics shadow....
no problem.. my wiper arms don't lift high though, 3" max.. yours may be different, but just be careful
Wow, the exact same thing happened with mine! I couldn't get the arm off but I'll try again.
I did this but I cant get them to angle properly. The drivers side is pretty much fine but the passenger side is angled to far. The left side of it sits just above the cowl trim but the right side is aiming way up towards the door. I tried bending the arm but I can't get it to budge. Anyone know what the deal with that is?
