Anyone want to share some pics of their garages?
Here's some pics of my garage what I completed in the last year. Overall size is 52' wide and 48' deep with 12' ceiling on big side.

The lift is a Dannmar 10ACX. The other lift in front of the little Kubota is a Snap On.....good for tires, wheels, and paint....but that's about it.

This is the storage side of the garage. Under the cover is a 1988 T-Bird Sport Coupe (5.0L/AOD), ahead of that is a 1968 Mustang Convertible (289/Auto), the green car is a '69 GTO (400/4speed) and beside the Kubota is a '57 Fairlane (428CJ/4 speed). My wife's '90 Mustang Vert is now where the Kubota sits.

Man, that is nice. I would love to have all that space. I could cramm more in.
That is a very nice setup! Before I had kids, I had planned on building myself a 60x120 shop with an upstairs living quarters. Two lifts, and a pit in the garage.....one day I'll have it. My two boys wouldn't mind it lol.
this is the shop i just closed up and moved out of, since i'm moving to delaware.. pics are from when i was cleaning up before i moved all my junk in, around august or sept of last year.. tada! py cellphone pics

jerry, i'm jealous.. your garage seems bigger than my old shop, and definitely bigger than the garage i'll have once i move
Mk
it looks bigger inside then it is.. it's 24 x 64
You guys are lucky! When I lived at home on the farm I worked on my cars in my Dad's pole barn.
Now I live in town and have a 2 car garage crammed full of my Mustang, Tbird, two lawnmowers, etc. :( It sucks. Someday I hope to have a bigger building with a lift, etc.
sounds like you need a shed :giggle:
you could always get a scissor lift.. they come in handy and are moveable.. most of them lift about 3ft
Here's our garage, 24' x 40' plus the lean to. The whole back yard is concrete so you can work outside also.:D
OMG Herb , what is that black hunk of shaginess in the corner with the cobra wheels ? *drool * I love85/86 Stangs
Yeah I have thought about putting up a little shed for lawnmower, weedeater, chainsaws, etc.
You can see my garage in the background in this pic. My house/garage was built in the early '50's. My 'bird barely fits lengthwise and you have to be very careful with either car when pulling in so you don't rub the mirrors on the door frames. What's puzzling to me is that any 1950's car had to be, uh, "girthy" compared to either of my cars. It had to be a even tighter fit back then...

wow.. that has to suck in the winter when you're trying to tinker.. sounds like she needs a 5ft+ extension off the back :giggle:
That's a friend of my son car. '85 Mustang GT, been in storage for years now he is having my son rebuild for him. It has the recaros with halos, nice car!!
If I tinker I have to take the car either to my Dad's pole barn or my uncles place...which sucks because all my tools and stuff are in my garage. And I hate to impose on them when they have their own projects going on.
lol, maybe they drove Nash Metropolitons.
time for a small addition? annnnd a little demolision? :beatyoass: lmao
Yeah or VW bugs or something, lol. Actually I'm pretty sure the guys wife always drove Buick sedans and he usually had a full sized Chevy pickup (there's no way it would have fit in there).
That Dannmar is worth its weight in gold!! I've had the T-chicken up on it the last three evenings poking around and cleaning off rusty scale to prep it for sealer. Also makes working on ANYTHING underneath a joy rather than a c. Heck, once I put my wife's car on it just to put a plug in the tire!
Andnote on ceiling height...go about 12'6". A lot of lifts are in the 142" to 145" height ranges. That extra couple inches will make or break you.....just look at my ceiling over the lift. Had to open her up since I ended up buying a bigger lift than I originally planned. I need to get that closedback up before winter........
Did we do this once before?

Your garage is near cleaner than my house. lol.
Yeah I have to clean up so I can see the floor...
An old pic of my buddy's garage where I work on my cars.
My ranger and his turbo mustang.

Heres my garage a week before I moved in. Not much has changed except it houses a bunch of my friend's grandpa's boxes and my wrecked truck.

Beautiful garage!! I'm considering getting a Barrel Blaster to replace my cheap HF POS. How do you like yours? Is it roomy enough to get the job done? Any leaks? Any mods you had to do to it? Thanks in advance! Oh........did I mention 'Beautiful garage!!!!!
Here's my standard 19' x 23' tract home, 2-car. Small but efficient! I've built many a hot rod in here, from the ground up. Since these photos were taken I've added a bunch more machine tools so it's getting really tight in there! The last pic has the space filled with my latest project. 1927 Ford Model T roadster. It'll be powered by a turbo'd 2.3/T5 combo driven through an 8" Maverick rearend. The frame will be Z'd with a track nose and it'll sit about 4" off the ground. Should be a blast! I know it looks a little rough, but believe me...............I've started with worse!

Mine 30x40 heated plus a lean-to

Hers 2 car (oversized) attached

I got mine after she got sick of my projects keeping her car out in wintertime!:beatyoass:
I wish mine would get tired of parking outside soon! I guess If I keep sing her windows though, I'm just prolonging the agony

obviously old pic, but its a clean one at least!
Thanks. The Barrel Blaster has been great. I've owned it for like 15 years. It was one of the first ones, so I updated it with the foot pedal and the new window when they came out. It's roomy enough to blast wheels, intakes, heads and stuff. Sometimes you have to be creative and move your work around to get everything if you're working on a big piece. It doesn't leak, and it hooks right up to a shopvac. You might get a little sand on the floor when you open the door, but nothing to worry about.
The guy builds them down in Texas with his Father. Great guy. Mopar nut if I remember correctly.
This is mine before I sold the Bird , it looks the same now ....but empty
^ thats a perdy color
