Title: Fuel pressure
Post by: SR71blackbird on September 22, 2011, 11:49:30 PM
I'll be adding a precision T3T4 turbo (I'll be selling my Garrett airesearch T3 after i get it rebuilt along with the header im currently using. So send me a PM if youre interested) here pretty shortly as soon as a get my header and a few other things back from Jangus. With this bigger turbo, id like to turn up The fuel pressure to run my injectors at a 90-95% pace but i was wondering what the fuel pressure needs to be at to accomplish that. I have an autometer electric fuel pressure gauge to monitor it. Any tips or help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Increasing fuel pressure does not increase duty cycle, it pushes more fuel through for the same amount of dwell(open) time... The TC is basically setup to add a pound of fuel pressure for each lb of boost, keeping the stock hookup will do just that... The tune should be checked or at least install a wide band A/F gauge so you know what the ratio really is, too rich and your loosing power, too lean there goes the head gasket and maybe a piston...
