Take pics of the progress. I remember doing the T-5 swap. One of the best things I did for the Sport. It does get a little old in the town we live in...constantly shifting, but, it's worth it. Felt like a totally different car afterward.  Make sure you have everything on the swap list handy and ready to go. Bell housing bolts, correct block plate, etc. Sucks having to stop work to spend an hour driving all over to get a bolt. Good luck, keep us posted.

I got everything to do the swap.
The car runs great its hard to believe it has 201k on it.
Does anyone offer replacement seat covers or do they have to be custom made?

I just did the T-5 swap back in April.  I love it...only thing I would like to change would be to convert to a hyd clutch (someone makes a kit to do it).  The cable clutch feel is a little odd after driving my '07 GT.

I am soon to turn over 190,000...hopefully it will make it another 100,000 on the stock bottom end, lol.

I'm doing a hyd t5 on my 1965 fairlane but thats only because i can't make a cable work. The cable is stiffer but I prefer the feel over hyd. 201k and no smoke it does have a little piston slap but i herd that was common on mid to late 80's 5.0L non HO.
How long did it take you to change the pedals?

I had over 300K on my '78 Bird.

It took me about 2 hours to swap my pedals. That was taking my time. Pull the driver seat and the steering column out of the car. Sounds like a lot of trouble, but, it'll actually save you time.

That was my plan to pull the seat and column. 2 hours doesn't sound too bad. Maybe I will do the entire swap in a day. The auto in the car is whooped. I'm not sure it will make till next weekend.

Got any pics of the interior? or any other plans for this thing yet?

Hailing from st pete too. Nice. I'll have to get down there and check this thing out sometime. There's also another member here who lives in Tampa.

I got the pedals done. It took me about 2 hours. This weekend i am installing the t5 as well as new SS headers,H pipe and new lers. I scored at a local swap meet H- pipe with new o2 sensors for 80.00 and 2 stainless dynomax lers with the extensions on them for 100.00 like new. The headers i bought new from ebay.

What would be the best clutch pedal assembly to use for a T 56 swap?
