I'm about to have a custom exhaust system installed on my 88 5.0 bird. Headman Headers, a stainless steel x cross over, stainless steel Gibson lers. I will not have any pre-catalytic converters nor will I have a catalytic converter. My question is, will I need an aftermarket O2 sensor or will a OEM work fine for this application? Will an OEM part cause me to run rich? I have the AOD out and am about to install the T5 and thought since I have easy access (no exhaust manifolds either) I should connect the O2 sensors to the wiring harness. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated?
OEM will be fine.
