Title: Oil Pan???
Post by: cougar1car on September 11, 2011, 08:25:40 PM
I am changing my leaking oil pan gasket while the front end is apart. Got it down and can not figure out how to get it out.. Does it come out the front or go back towards the tranny... Had the motor jacked up from the front and could not get it out past the tranny.. 3.8 with as of now the rack and pinion and sway bar off the car and out of the way.... :punchballs:

My manual says out the rear...but then again..these manuals sometimes tell you to do things that take jedi powers to actually do.

Raised at least 4" off the motor mounts. If it is a V6 it should come out fairly easy.

I remember it being either 10mm or 3/8ths. Just pull a bolt and take it with you.
