Title: Took the bird for her "maiden" voyage today
Post by: 86sonicbird on September 08, 2011, 09:36:50 PM
Well I FINALLY got my brake lines done and took her for spin. This is the first time she has seen the road since the 302 swap and hasnt seen the road in ten years. I still have some small issues to take care of then it is off to get painted. This has been a very part time project and now its on the road to the finish line. I have put it up for sale on the way and glad I didnt sell it. I will post some new pics soon. It wasnt that bad swapping in the turbo coupe rear as I thought. Now the car sports all new brake lines front and rear. I do need to bleed them again as the pedal is not as hard as I would like but she stops. I can now officially say she runs and DRIVES now!

I am glad I kept it also, we are doing the body work this winter and she will get painted next spring. Then I have to swap the interior for the black and grey leather turbo coupe interior I have, get some 03 cobra wheels for it and then it will be done! .........Untill I decide to do more, lol

Took her out tonight for a 25 mile drive. Fixed the hesitation and she is running hard, really wants to go. I just need to refine some more and then we are good to go

How much it broken off?? I work in a body shop so it's not a problem to fix. I'd have to rent a pickup.
