Title: Guess I need to drain the 8.8 again
Post by: Crash225 on September 04, 2011, 12:42:31 AM
Having problems with the TC rear's on again off again performance. Sometimes it leaves two nice tracks and just tonight (while I had a friend filming), only the passenger side lit up. I'm hoping I just have to add more friction modifier or something simple. Am I looking at changing the clutches in the diff?

Probably, that's the only thing that's ever fixed mine when the Traction Lock was weak...

If the Frictions and steels are ok in the Trac lok you might just need to re shim them.
http://forums.corral.net/forums/general-mustang-tech/1310939-trac-lock-rebuild-weekend-need-info.html  Back when I drag raced the mustang all the time, I used this write up using the alternate clutch pack method, and it always 2 wheel peeled! This alone was worth  few tenths off my 60', which meant quite a few off my ET
(General rule of thumb, .1 off the 60' is roughly .2 off ET :D)
