Title: Overidle at the top of second gear
Post by: Carl on August 29, 2011, 07:36:32 PM
Whenever I am going through the gears and hit second at the top of second gear about high 5000s it overidles and hits off the rev limiter a couple times.

Does anyone know whats going on?

my guess would be overboost, is the stock boost control solenoid still in place?

nope I have a gillis valve.  Check engine light blinked a couple times after it happened but stopped since.  Boost has been at 18 for quite some time now with no probs.  I guess I will turn it down

I'm positive it's my clutch slipping now.  I had a feeling it wasn't holding down the power at high rpm months ago when I ran slower track times.  Now I think it's finally letting go.  At my HP level I should be throwing down low 14s
