Title: '90 Stang LX
Post by: Beau on August 11, 2011, 07:03:02 PM
Well, after some head scratching and general wondering WTF am I thinking, I've decided on a course of action for this little FUBAR Four hole car.

I just happen to have another HO engine, sans intake and headers, sitting on a stand in my shed. Think I'll eat my own words in regards to putting a carb on an efi engine and throw it under the hood of the little pony.

I know it's one of my bigger peeves to do this, but I am not spending a lot of money on this car. To keep it efi, i'd need a coupla different harnesses, an HO fuel pump, and a couple other bits and pieces.

To keep it carb, all I need is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, a carb, and whatever is a safe way to attach throttle linkage.

It's a given that I'll need new mounts, and an intake gasket set, as I have no Stang V8 mounts, and the engine doesn't have an intake on it.

I'll roll it out into the light here in a bit and get these much awaited pics...
It's just a black Stang LX sitting on snowflakes with a gray interior though. Nothing to brag on lol.

On a related note, since I now have a 4 day weekend, I plan to show the Sport a little love and get the interior together, save for the headliner...since..well, I have none of those that will work in a ()*)*&^ moonroof car..

Just re-cover the headliner you have. Takes a little while if you do it right, but doesn't cost a lot and makes a BIG difference in the car.
