Do you guys have any tricks to get rid of/keep spiders from infesting the under areas of your cars? I don't drive my cars much but it seems like even when I drive do, there are lots of webs going to the ground by the next morning and some of these guys hanging around...

Yesterday I poked my head into the garage every hour or so and managed to kill about 4 females and 6 or 7 males, but it seems like there is still just as many new webs. I did also take the car for a spirited highway drive this morning.
, and those are Black Widows, too...
Sorry, not much advice from me, other than maybe some spray pesticide or something along that line..?
(I'm more of a snake guy...biting things with 8 legs rank slightly below things with wings and stings in the fear department..) lol, and good luck!
Move from the area immediately!!!
Those things look nasty! Bug bomb the heck out of the area.

Those things look nasty! I would bug bomb the heck out of the place, put some sticky traps down too.
At Walmart they sell stuff called Diazenon (SP) you spread it in your yard and around your house and garage. It kills everything and it draws them out of buildings. I used it at my house twice in about 4 months and never had problems with spiders, ants or flies. As soon as I let it run its course and didnt respread it i had ants and spiders everywhere.
Carb spray. Kills and relocates, trust me. I don't know how to keep them away, but while they're here...
Kill 'em with fire!
I use carb cleaner w/ torch they are really bad around my house but, not in my garage yet, the trick is to kill the egg sacks they look like little spiky balls, I did a test to see who was tougher the giant wolf spider missing 2 legs or the male and female widow, by morning the wolf spider had killed the female and was eating the male, so I killed him also, lol

Yup, I can assure you if I ever make it to Nevada or back to Florida, I'll be checkin' my six for 8 legs and red hourglasses..lol
We have them here too, but in my 34 years, I've never came upon a Black Widow. Seen my share of Brown Recluse though, they're nearly as bad.
Gimme a Copperhead or a Rattlesnake any day...those I can (and will) deal with. :)
Thanks for the suggestions guys. So far I have just been keeping a close eye on them and killing whatever pops out. Today I drove it and within the hour they had about 10 new webs to the ground. I killed another slightly different looking widow today which I guess is a northern widow. Luckily, I have found no spiders or web inside the car yet. There are also no spiders to speak of in the house or garage except for under the Cougar.
I think I might go to the auto hobby shop on base and put it up on a lift and spray the entire bottom with whatever I can find at Lowes/Walmart.
MY solution would be...Move to Buffalo.......We def don't have that problem... here...lol
great I just found a black widow eating a giant roach, I found this I will try anything

Great link, thanks. So far the search and destroy missions have proven pretty effective. The number of webs that are made under my car has dropped dramatically. Here is a pic of my latest victim. Typical red hourglass underside with colorful back markings.
