Title: Exhaust idea
Post by: amooset on May 23, 2005, 06:49:50 AM
Has anyone used flexible exhaust pipe on a long term basis?  I'm dirt poor and can't afford a new custom bent exhaust and need to do something soon.  Just wondering how long such a system would hold up until I could get it replaced with some nicer piping (stainless).

dont think it could last to long, all those bends in it will retain water and cauz it to rust pretty quick. other than that i dont know. i know people who basicaly use it to fab something up and send it to the exhaust shop to tell em what they want done.

pep boys sells an exhaust pipe that ive seen no where else.

its flex but solid.
Its made like the concept of a drinking strap where the part of the straw flex's.  If you pull the stretch out the flex part, that what the entire length of the pipe looks like. Its as thick as you would need and i honestly think this would be fairly easy to bend with creative efforts.
