Title: Ford Fever in Oregon!
Post by: jrad235 on August 01, 2011, 11:32:23 PM
At the Woodburn Dragstrip, August 21!  I will most definitely be there, and I hope to make a few passes down the track. There should be two other T-birds(Our years) there, although I'm sure they aren't on the forums. So, let's see if we can get a couple more there(TED!).

  Come on guys!

Not in it's current configuration. Should be fun though.

Come on NW guys! One week from Sunday, the 21st!  I guess I should get my tubular control arms installed. Can anyone get a hold of Ted(CadTbird500) for me?

Two days to go! I've got the control arms on one side of the T-bird on, and I'll wrap up the other side Friday!

Yeah..about that...

I'm not very happy with the results, but I am confident that with further track time and cooler weather(!) I should hit my goals.

Other than that, it was a good day, although I was rather disappointed that the other regular T-Bird didn't show up, so me and Seek were the only ones there.  I think the weather(90+ w/ humidity) was a large factor in the low turnout for the show.

I still need to fix a couple things though, since apparently they require a clutch safety switch for racing!  :) Who knew?

I only saw one wreck, but I wasn't there the whole day due to the weather. It was a new edge mustang that made a sharp left turn into the opposing lane's wall just before I did my burnout.  Not too bad though, I think it moved off-track under it's own power, but that new fender won't be cheap!

Definitely not, as they would not be representative of the effort I have put into this car.  :) Maybe a little later this year!
