Ever have your rear wheels off and notice how the passanger side rear fender well is provisioned to deflect water and debris?
Moving over to the driver side you will see how the area to the rear of your tire is wide open to all the debris that flips off your tires.
I noticed on my 20th the considerable amount of corrsion difference between the passanger side being less and the driver side being more.
I fixed this.................
Go to lowes and buy one of thier big ass drip pans and basically, see below, pictures are worth a thousand words. I did this back in May.

Looks good! We get most of our corrosion here in Illinois on the passenger side. I guess from kicking up all the salt, slush and that sits after the snow plow pushes it off to the side of the road.
Yeah, this took very little time to do and now prevents the wheel from tossing debris towards the rear well opening.
I am still not sure why I never noticed this difference before compared to the passenger side. Having a storage compartment on the driver side for the y spare may be the reason for this,, Ill bet someone forgot to finish this engineering in the initial aero bird design and never revisited the issue. Its an obvious engineering error.
I would like others opinions on what i have said and if you agree or not. I mean, why protect one rear frame from wheel debris and leave the other side open?
