lol...
Yeah riiiiiight.
I'm a certified VTCI judge for 64-66 and 83-88 Thunderbirds. Let me tell you we don't smell the air in your tires:hick:.
Well, I love the Thunderbirds, BUT, the '67 Vettes are quite a step up in the car food chain. Air counts.
That is just too funny!!! I wonder how many fools will fall for that.
He's an airhead...pun intended.
Off subject a bit but since you are a judge I have found a reclining seat back which I am considering getting recovered and installing on my car. It was an option but not ordered on my car, I have the invoice, will adding it have any effect on judging?
It depends on what direction you are taking the car. Do you want it to be juged factory stock (primary)? If so then you will lose points if you add something to the car that it didn't come from the factory with. Primary judging is NUTS. You have to have every thing just as it rolled out of the factory, including all the paint and inspection marks. If you want to put the seat in then the highest you could be jugged is Touring, where some modifications are allowed. Any non-factory modifications bump your car into Modified, where my car is.
Here's a link to a page on judging from the VTCI: http://vintagethunderbirdclub.org/judging_classes.htm
Thanks for the reply and info, I added the trunk release option and a correct am/fm radio so the seat will be next. I think the only options I wont have then are the power vent windows and pass side mirror.
All kidding aside, I've got an original 700-15 tire and rim from a 56 Plymouth that belonged to my grand father that still has the original air in it. I think it would be a hoot to have it buttstuffyzed to see what it does (or doesn't ) contain compared to to-days air. On second thought, maybe I don't want to know. LOL
While the ad is hilarious
Have any of you actually smelled "old tire air ".....it is one of the most vile smells I have ever encountered
Looks like it got deleted...
