Title: Interesting T-Bird modeling
Post by: 5.0willgo on May 22, 2005, 05:21:39 PM
Found this model on ebay. see details here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2585&item=5976309713&rd=1)

Reminds me of Baxo's idea in the thread "Stupid" stuff you admit to considering for your Bird/Cat/Mark/etc. (http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=2791&page=1&pp=10)

A fox car turned truck.

whats with the firechicken on the trunk?!

the back half of the "car", from the front of the doors back reminds me of an 80's elcamino

Well the pontiac firebird logo always looks better than the T-Bird logo

My car had a Firechicken on the header panel when I bought it. Needless to say it wasn't long in coming off:

That model is pretty cool, though - I don't know how you'd ever get the window cut to fit like that since tempered glass does not cut easily, but I suppose you could use something like a Dodge Daytona side window...

That'd be really cool with a removable roof :D

That's just plain messed up.

I suppose IRL you could use a mini truck rear window, and fabricate the rear end of the roof like a late 90's MR2 for a slopped off effect.

Well if you remove the phoenix flames and add lightning bolts to the claws that would be a THUNDERBIRD..

Wherever there's air and lightning there's THUNDER! :D

Aren't those Durangos really rare?
Tell me that's not a factory sunroof?!?

Yes..VERY rare....2-digit production numbers from what I understand.  THe guys who has a few of the fiberglas conversion pieces wants a mint and a left testicle for them.

No idea about the sunroof.  It was ebayed a few months back (went for $3K).... I would have liked to have been able to get it and get rid of the Ranger.
