Your battery relocate is nice but you need a vented box to be track legal. I realize that the pictures look like in progress photos so I assume you already know this. Since I have had a very similar setup and know what I was able to get out of mine I am curious about a few things.
1. What does your car currently weigh?
2. What transmission are your using? Auto/Manual and Stall if auto?
3. What gears are you running in your differential?
4. What suspension are you currently using front and rear?
5. What modifications to your differential have been made?
6. At what RPM are you planning to shift?
7. Do you plan on running slicks and a drive shaft safety loop?
8. Are you planning on installing a roll cage?
at my track as long as you have a firewall you dont need a battery box.
1. i dont know the curent weight
2. i am going to be using a C4 Transmission
3. 4:11 gears
4. we will be using a coilover front struts & stock shocks/springs in the back with adjustable controll arms
5. we have a locker and c-clip elimanators with 31 spline axels
6. 6000 RPM
7.Slicks, and yes; drive shaft safety loop
8. yes to a roll cage, you never know what'll happen :P
i just finished up the rear fire wall next time i am at the shop i will snap some pics.
Do you race at the Gainesville track?
nope (sgmp) but we have raced at Gainesville before its the same commute time between the two tracks we just personally like South Georgia Motorsports Park better.
I'd like to see the Sport in the high 12's one day......but with A/C and the other options.
Well after you get that thing running if you decide to make a trip to Gville maybe gimme a holler I'd love to come see it
yup no problem
got new pics of thefinished firewall tell me what you guys thinkhttp://imageshack.us/g/853/cougarfirewall005.jpg/ (http://"http://imageshack.us/g/853/cougarfirewall005.jpg/")
Hey, I ran a 12.4 with a/c I would still have it, if I wanted the car run hot!!!!
I'm fixing that. Should be back in business by the end of Monday. I'm taking tomorrow off from working on the Sport.
sent hcor the money for the rear bumper cover today when i get it i will put pics up
I'm ready to see some pics. Are you having fun yet?
Yeah this is all fun next on my list is the 4 inch cowl hood from (motor sports parts usa) then paint after that i will wire it buy the rear control arms fuel system and the motor is ready to drop in after that. I am expecting next may it will go down the track.
