Title: Door striker
Post by: thewestie on June 26, 2011, 10:21:25 PM
Ive looked around and cant find the answer that i need. I am putting my doors back on and was looking at the striker and was wondering if it has the plastic bushings like the mustang and earlier birds I have a 87 bird and the door looks like it could close a little more and the plastic bushing might do it?
Thanks Steve

FWIW, they're common to a lot of ford cars and even trucks...

Depends on the year of stang.  I had some from a early 80's Stang and the bolt thread  was different and wouldnt thread into the door frame.  I just got some from the "help" section at the autoparts store. (the whole thing, not just the bushing)
