I think that should about have it, roughly in order...
1. 1987 Plymouth Voyager (2.6 I4 3 speed auto). Blew the engine at 88,000 miles because I drove it at 80 on the highway for two hours:hick:.
2. 1988 Ford Thunderbird LX (5.0 AOD still own). The first car I bought. The Plymouth was given to me at 16 by my parents.
3. 1993 Buick Century (3.3 V6 AOD). This car handled like but that Buick 3.3 V6 had some balls. It died when the tranny took a dump at 165,000.
4. 1995 Ford Thunderbird LX (3.8 AOD). Traded it in at 90,000 miles. Original head gaskets were intact. The thing needed motor mounts and a water pump. It was starting to rot out so I didn't want to put the money into it.
5. 2011 Ford Focus (2.0 DOHC I4 Auto). The 95 T-birds replacement as a DD.
87 Ford Ranger
91 Mustang
84 Chevy Blazer
84 Chevy S10 Blazer

Id like to add another Ranger.
I think I am going to go with the shortest list thus far with just three (3) cars. Two of
86 cougar (RIP)
01 Tacoma (present)
86 cougar (present)
--2004 Kawasaki ZZR-1200 I know, not a car, but it want's to be a cougar if it had 4 wheels.

3 4th gen Camaros

There was another similar thread not too long back where I posted pics too. Here is the link to that since I am too lazy to relink them. http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?29970-How-ADD-is-your-car-collection&p=342350#post342350
Pontiac Firebird
1981 Jeep CJ7 (what I learned to drive in in 1993...got my license in it, wrecked in '95..)
1974 Jeep J-10
1987 Escort GT
1986 Dodge Aries
1986 LX Mustang
1988 Thunderbird LX (3.8, maroon)
1992 F-150
1988 Chevy K1500

1988 TurboCoupe (parts only)
1988 Tbird Sport (current project/money pit)
2002 S-10 (wife's truck/parts and grocery fetcher)
There's a coupla other cars we've had/used for awhile that weren't ours, but I'll mention:
1996 Toyota Camry
1987 Dodge Dynasty (RIP, wife killed it and a deer, simultaneously)
1989 F-150 (dad's truck, drove it while mine had cow damage)
The bold ones are still around, in the case of the Camry, it's still used, we just borrowed it for a few months, or we use it for long trips, etc
Reliabilty-wise, the Camry, the '92 F150, and the '89 F150 have all been the most reliable, the Camry tossed a timing belt one night, the fuel pump went out of the '92 once in 2004, and the '89 truck had a catastrophic water pump failure in 2001, only times those have ever failed to get me/us back home again.
The '86 Dodge aries was the most unreliable piece of shiznit I have ever looked at it. I literally couldn't drive it any farther than 10-12 miles from home, simply because it would break before it got any further.
The first time I drove it, the brakes were dragging, got so hot that I didn't even have braking ability...what a nightmare. Do not miss that shager. :toilet:
The funnest is obviously the Sport with the HO and the T5 swapped.

Not many cars for 62 years of driving.
I guess I have been more about how long I could keep them going rather than how many I could get. In other words I'm a cheapskate.

Considering I'm almost 50, this list is pathetic
69 Roadrunner. Wish I still had this one.
74 Mustang II - fugliest car ever, but add air shocks and 4-spoke Cragar SS wheels...nope, still ugly.
79 Ford F100 stepside - bought new while a senior in high school. Another I wish I'd have kept.
74 Datsun 260Z - blast to drive. Even my dad liked driving the snot out of this one.

05 Intrepid - possibly the worst car ever. Failed waterpump took out the motor.
08 Chev Aveo - at least my daughter thinks it's cute. Which is good since we've 'donated' it to her.
Great, now I realize just how pathetic my automotive life has been.
Keep in mind I've only had my license for 6 years, some of you are cheating by being over the hill :P
1. 81 El Camino (first car) 305 from a BOAT!
2. 96 Thunder bird, Bronze color with sandle wood interior. 4.6 AOD

4. 95 Thunderbird (year may be wrong didn't have this long before my dad wanted it 4.6 AOD, was berry with black interior.
5. 88 Ranger (project)
6. 88 Turbocoupe, bought it was in boxes, wanted eversince dad got one. Built turbo motor and tore it up, now has 331 stroker and C4
7. 2002 Ranger, first and only car I bought from a dealer
8. 99 Escort, ugly sums it up. This the GF's car now lol.
9. 92 ranger, 2.3 stick, bought for 400, let sit for 1 year sold for 600. Had roses etched in the windows (BLAH)
10. 90 something crown vic (police interceptor) Dad bought from sealed auction dirt cheap and let me tool around in it for couple months. 4.6 Auto
I realize now I've been fortunate in my cars, I see only 3 non V8's up there
Think if my dad used the internet he would be contendor for most cars, right now he is down to 16 licensed 40 owned. And he was a computer tech not a car sales man lol.
in 6 years I've gone through a
99 3.0 Taurus (overheated it) - was passed down to me from my parents
84 2.4 Toyota Pickup (timing belt gave and blew the engine up, literally) - same thing
96 3.8 Windstar (overheated it) - parents bought for me... man I'm glad I was the first kid
02 2.4 Nissan Frontier (rolled it) - financed it through my parents
88 3.8 Cougar (that's it down below) - first car I ever bought and had my own name on the title
96 3.8 Tbird (junked it:() - saw it at the jy today....
07 3.7 Mitsu Raider (also below) - first car I've ever bought and financed through a dealer, and that ever retained a warranty
whats funny is about 6 hours ago before I even knew this thread existed, I was just talking about this very subject with my friend lol
Starting from the beginning.....
1985 Cougar LS 3.8
1984 Buick LeSabre Custom 350
1988 Ford Tempo (paid 344 bucks for it)

well, thank god its me, and not my buddy, im only at 4, he's at 28 in 4 years, and he's losing track of what he had.
-1993 Mercury Sable LS. First car, blast to drive, 3.8L sunroof, floor shift auto, put 2 10 inch home audio subwoofers in the trunk...cus i could. 2 engines and a transmission later, junkyard
-1989 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. my first gm, beautiful condition, steal of a price, floor shift, buick 3800, cherry red car, loved it. got t-boned by a Toyota the night after i got it into a car show. bent frame. RIP.
-1989 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. Second gm, figured the first one saved my life, why not? Still have it, same stats, buick 3800, floor shift. this one's a rare gold color. "Light beachwood Metallic" they call it.
-1983 Mercury Cougar LS . The reason im here. got a 302 and an AOD, looks like a head gasket oil leak. and ive blown a heater sensor 3 times, seriously considering a new engine, possibly a 4XXsomething.
i figured out the gold SSE was built before the Red one, which means im systematically going backwards with my cars age. not really what my parents are happy about.
I'm going to try this but I'm sure I will miss some

- 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 (My first. Drove from when I was 15 to 19 years old. Never could figure out if it was a boy or a girl, so I could never named it.)
- 1987 Mercury Cougar 20th Anniversary Edition ("Inherited" from my parents after the death of the '67. Still with me. Her name is Roxanne. From the Police song...because she has red lights & loose parts.)
- 1997 Mercury Cougar 30th Anniversary Edition (My first new car purchase of my own. Also still have. Her name is Xena Warrior Princess...I was really into that show in '97. "Xena, let me moisturize you leather...")
- 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis LS (I rescued it from being purchased from some little old lady with blue har last October. The Millinium Falcon. I know - not too original, but it came to me after I added this really cool accessory trunk organizer with hidden storage compartments in the trunk. Stuck a red Rebel Alliance decal on the rear window, and I taught the Garmin GPS I keep in the car to grunt and growl like Chewbaca.)
I know - I'm a little wierd.
I'm 23 and my list is as follows:
1984 Mercury Cougar GS 5.0 - It's in my signature(1st car, part of the family before I was born, I will be buried in it. It was my Uncles, there's a huge story to why this car is special to me.)
1986 Mercury Cougar LS 5.0 - Previous owner abused it, and I sold it due to 3 broken fuel injectors, tranny slip, and poor condition of car.
2003 Ford Escape - Blown Transmission(traded and made double what I paid with blown tranny)
1998 GMC Sonoma ZQ8 4.3L 5-speed. I sold it to buy a Grand Am. One of very few ext. cab, stepside with drivetrain. Loved that truck.
2004 Grand Am SC/T - I put sooo much money in that car for mods. Nebraska State Patrol caused my brakes to fail and I totalled it and nearly died.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee - My daily Driver. I absolutely hate this thing. 3.7L is doggy and gets horrible mileage. I've been trying to trade it for months.
Cars I have sitting: 1953 Chevy 210 Sedan - My Dad's first car, and our Father/Son project. I6/3 on the tree, gonna have a big block, beefy blower, and a birdcatcher. His goal is to drive it down the main street of a town, flip the switch on the cutouts and blow out windows when he revs it. I have a few plans for this thing.
1955 Willys Sedan - My Grandfather bought at an auction, restored by a Tech School kid, someday I will get to it. I6/3 on the tree
20 years old
1) 1988 Thunderbird 3.8l bought at 15, swapped motors at 18 to a 5.0, traded in in 2011 for a 3.8l
2)1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Bought to drive while the motor in the 88 was being swapped.
3)1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442. Was was restored around 1999, don't drive it, but I bought a garage for her to sit in until I decide what I'm going to do.
4)2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Track Pack. Paid cash at 20 years old for a $27K car. It's scary a 3.8l can now put out 316 HP, when my v8 Thunderbird wouldn't put out 160. But I do miss the thunderbird, I was my grandmothers, and I wanted to keep it, but it just wasn't worth it. Needed a lot of stuff to make it right. Dealer gave me $500 for it, which is probably right about what I have put into it(financially) since 2005.

As a testament to my boredom I've actually made a collage of all the cars I've owned (as listed above). Cars in this collage with a "G" indicate I've no pictures and swiped 'em off Google. Most of these were owned before digital cameras and I was either too poor (in the case of the cool ones) or too cheap (in the case of the shiznitboxes - not gonna waste valuable film on those) to take pictures. You'll also note a couple of vehicles showed up more than once (the '90 Nissan truck and the '91 T-Bird) - that's because I owned those vehicles more than once
The "G" pics are pretty accurate, except my '66 Galaxie was a hard top (the one pictured is a post) and my '89 Sentra Wagon was dark grey, not the cream colour shown here. Oh, and the Tempo should have a "G". Everything else is pretty much spot-on...

Started with an 82 Buick riviera (Died from ohio rust) Not my car just a generic pic. It was actually a fine riding car.
That was replaced with an 87 Ford escort(I wasn't too happy about the switch :giggle: another generic pic.

then got my step dad's 92 Ranger, probably one of the most reliable Trucks.
Also the first thing I took down the 1/2 mile :D
(http://www.lvfoxbody.com/ranger.jpg)
After moving to Vegas from Ohio, picked up an 87 LX notch, which I wish I would have never sold!
After awhile started having issues with it, and really didn't realize how easy they were to work on yet, and got the dumb Idea to go buy an 01 Bullitt at the age of 20 ($500 a month for car and $300 insurance)
Then sold the ranger and got an 83 GLX vert
(http://a3.l3-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/113/b5905e413833453090b15707ac0ef90f/l.jpg)
After awhile Decided I wanted a truck again, and bought an 02 Ranger tremor.
After my dad's ranger got totaled by a cat bus, gave him the ranger, and started DD the vert, but it had a bad heater core, and wasn't really ready for DD duty so picked up an 05 Focus ST, which was a fun car, but got totaled by a run away tire and rim before it even had plates!
After the Focus was totaled, I ended up putting some money into the 83 to make it drivable. Picked up a 92 SHO and drove for awhile, but it was not maintained properly before I got and got rod knock, and really did not want to fix it at that time. Got a whole $500 trade in when Trading in the Ranger on an 05 F150 :giggle:
After all this picked up the 86GT from a friend for $1500, was bone stock too!
Which has seen a few upgrades

After driving this for quite awhile, decided I needed something more easy on gas to DD, not that I could have spent a car payment worth of gas in the stang anyways!
06 Fusion.
And just recently decided to get rid of car payment so Fusion got sold, and replaced with the TC.

And I think thats it LOL
#1 86 cougar GS. From 235k to 297k in three years. Stripper model with a 5.0 and digi dash
#2 86 cougar LS. From 110k to about 125k. Step mom junked it.
#3 87 cougar v-6. 181k to 186k. Wish I wasn't dumb with this car. Bad waterpump.
#4 87 cougar v-6. ?k. Hated car. New engine bad tranny. Junked.
#5 87 thunderbird base. Another stripper minus power windows. Blown engine and tranny. Swapped engine. Swapped tranny out of v-6 cougar and blew up in 10 miles.
#6 87 thunderbird LX. From 135k to 180k in two years. Drove the out of it. Fully loaded w/ digi dash and ATC. Hated car. Bought to swap tranny into previous #7 87 bird and ran out of time. 200 mile commute 6 days a week and averaged 25-28mpg . Junked march of this year. First wreck. First set of new tires and first abandoned running car.
#8 88 country squire. 125k to 135k. Was the wifes grocery getter.
Cars I drove but not owned
98 dodge neon. Married into. Worst car in the world. Less then 10k in 5 years and more money then every car put together. Blew the head gasket 3 times before junked engine block.
I guess I am not very inventive. The crown vic was an alternitive to the wife wanting a civic with 300k on it. Only time I have ever owned a 4 door. Wish there was more room. Not very comfy as I am 6'4" tall.
Looking to buy one more 86 cougar to swap my motor and t-5 into. Hopefully a stripper model.
