Title: For sale: 1985 30th anniversary thunderbird~
Post by: blue86 on June 19, 2011, 11:39:30 AM
Greetings! I'm selling my 30th Anniversary Edition '85 Thunderbird.  It's a completely rust free, original paint car with an absolutely beautiful original interior.

I bought the car from a meticulous, retired mechanical engineer friend, who worked at Ford for over 35 years. It has a few VERY nice upgrades that were done over the last 7 years by him.

It's an extremely clean, tight, turn-key, drive anywhere car!  I wouldn't hesitate to take this car across the country!

All of the body seams (doors, trunk, hood, etc...) are absolutely rust free  (just as they were when new).

Here's the info:

Your link is pointless and bunk, so unless it's your car why are you running your trap?

Hmm... last time I checked, I live in America.  Land of the free, home of capitalism & democracy.  This isn't communist Russia dude.

Let me tell you about this show on the History Channel called "American Pickers".  You should check it out.  It's about these two guys who travel all over the U.S. going into people's barns, basp00gets, garages and attics.  They negotiate with people and buy their old heirlooms, stuff, etc...etc....  THEN (pay attention here, it get's REALLY interesting), they turn around and sell it for a profit!!  WOW!!!  What an AMAZING concept!!!!

Bottom line is this:

1. I saw a car I liked and I negotiated with the seller and he accepted my offer.
2. I gave him some American currency.
3. I now own the car (capitalism again).
4. For "personal reasons of my own", I decided that I couldn't keep the car & decided to sell it.
5. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU AND IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!
6. My "for sale" ad bothered your sensitive little feelings and you took it upon yourself to not only post your irrelevant comments, but you even called the previous owner to cry about it (welcome back to junior high school)!

I completely understand that this is a public forum and you have a right to comment.  It is also within my rights as a member here (as well as a free American) to advertise and sell my property.  Does it really matter that I bought a really nice car, can't keep it, and decided to sell it and make a little extra money?  Apparently, it does to you.  Do me a favor, "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

FYI:  This is a VERY nice car.  I hope the previous comments would not deter someone who might be interested in it to contact me.  Thanks!

I thought the car looked really great.  If someone bought it for a great deal and can sell it, for what I feel is fair market value, and make some profit.  God Bless Them.

I'll give you $3600 for it.  :shakeass::shakeass::shakeass::shakeass:

It'd be worth it. That car is gorgeous.

Everyone else: Remember rule #9. What the seller paid for the car is irrelevant. It's what he's asking that matters in his own thread. If you don't think the car's worth it, simply don't buy it.
