Post by: 85cougar on June 14, 2011, 11:40:21 PM
Ok so i just bought a AOD loc up torque converter by a company called road runner...... i bought it off their ebay store....... it was dirt cheap(kinda scary/skeptical) but their seller score was real high and every review i read was positive and that they enjoyed their converter......

So my question is..... has anyone heard of these guys good or bad?

I will tell you what i personally think of it when i get it put in next monthish

Nope, but Ill be interested to compare results with you. I thought about an ebay converter, but in the end, just said to heck with it, and bought a dirty dog 9.5" billet converter, 3000 stall. Being built now.

Lock up aod set up real nice is being built as well. Hoping to also get it wrapped up in about a month.

No but it might be comparable to the Tci. What some company's do is take a 10" front converter half and weld it up to the original back half and restall it. The so called "spaceship" converter. It isn't a high quality piece, but is better than stock and good for a budget. It should help.
The billet dirty dog conveter is bad a$$ and will give you those killer 60':burnout:

I recommend PTC, they did a 9" for my turbo car.
