I am currently running 17X8's (+19mm backspacing)in front and 17X10 (+25mm backspacing)in the rear. I just pciked up some 17X9 (+20mm backspacing)for the front because I wanted a deeper lip.
I did a test fit and the come very close to the shock. I plan on using the same tires for now which are 245 45 17's. Is this going to be a problem or should I add a spacer?

Once the tire is on it's going to rub I think.
I agree completely. Get a spacer.
Yeah, that's not going to work. I wonder what the bs is on my 17x9's...they fit without any issue.
Mine fit fine as well. The Cobra R wheels I did have....the chrome ones, they had to have thin spacers. The 10th ann. Cobra wheels I have now, 17x9 up front, 17x10 out back....perfect fit.
Ok. I installed them this morning. ME LIKEY!! I was afraid that they would stick out, but they dont at all. I did add a small spacer and pushed the strut in a little, and they dont rub, so I'm a happy camper.
I might roll the lip a little, but for now its fine.

Looks great...about what mine look like (wheel placement). Great looking car as well. I may have to install some halo headrests when I have the seats done.....maybe......
Mine are the netted ones. Super hard to come by. You will be giving up comfort though for looks. I know when I go on long drives and pull over to take a nap, I really miss those puffy pillow type headrests
i never use my headrests anyway. In the end, I'll probably keep the Sport's headrests.I plan on having a custom logo stitched into them when I have the seats done.
Is this you

Hey nice looking Car!
Car looks very nice with those wheels. So, what ends up being the required offset for 9" rims then?
