I just got to thinking, I thought Ford started putting superchargers in on in '89 on the Tbird supercoupes and Cougar XR7.......did they experiment with it in 84 or would it have been aftermarket if the car had it.......I though I read all this time that the '83 - '88 generation only had the turbo charged cars.    Am I Mistaken or right?

There were prototype SC Turbo Coupes in 1988. I believe Detroit PD had them.
Before that, I've never found evidence of supercharged cars. Ford had plenty of experience with turbocharging since the 1970s so I don't even think they thought too much of supercharging.

You mean these, Eric?

These are really cool cars. TC wheels (and likely suspension, note the PRC strut covers), base grille (the TC snout probably couldn't provide enough cooling) and chrome trim instead of the TC red trim. Pity they were very likely crushed...

The '57 Thunderbird had a supercharger option ;)
