i just picked up an 87 turbo coupe that has 88 mustang motor/trans swap. the computer is stock but the motor is bored 60 over and balanced, other than that its stock. the car still has the 8.8 that was always in it. what i am wondering is what do you guys think it will run at the track with some decent tires or slicks on the back? the car feels very stout so im hoping for 13's. ill post pics of it in the other section when i get around to it.
I'd say mid 14's would be realistic. A stock 88 Mustang won't run13's, and they're a bit lighter than an 87TC. Which T5 trans does it have in it? The Stang unit, or the TC trans?
I was gonna guess Mid-upper 14's.
i believe its the stang trans. if it doesnt hit 13's time to start changing things haha. i said id leave it alone until the 86 was done but i may have lied.
