on a 1986 cougar xr7 2.3l , where is the ac cycle switch located.can any body help me with installing one. a c ice cold but goes in and out from cold to warm blow air.
How quickly does it cycle? It should make up to 5 cycles in minute. If it makes much more, check the coolant pressure.
The pressure switch is located on the top of the A/C dryer. It's on the passenger side attached to the firewall.
a c cold then blows warm air .it keeps changing cycles
It's normal. Our cars aren't equipped with compressor with adjustable efficiency. If it cycles slowly, it's all right.
That's not normal. Mine is cold all the time when I run the A/C. I'd check the switch on the top of the A/C dryer.
If he has the lever in HOT, it may blow slightly warm air, but not hot.
And if he has low pressure, then it will blow warm air all the time. And it will cycle fast.
when installing the ac cycle sw is there any tread sealant or other when screwing it into ac drier
well i changed cycle sw, help any idear,im hot and fund are low only blows warm air and the radiator fan wont go on with ac
its a bad a c clutch, any info on stores would like a new clutch
Does any one sell the entire compressor or is it just the clutch that needs rebuilding? My compressor won't spin so I'm not sure if the compressor is bad or just the clutch.
The system is low on a charge. Read the high and low side pressures with a manifold. The clutch should not cycle under certain conditions. But basically all Orifice tube systems cycle a bit. That is how they are designed. Thats why the switch is called a cycling switch!!!
