Title: Looking for headlight assembly
Post by: treflipboy on May 19, 2011, 01:50:15 PM
Anyone know a place that has new headlights? Or how easy/hard it is to modify the mustang lights to fit the T-bird? I can't stand the orange corner lamps.

Thanks

Ebay. Bring deep pockets. Mustang lights will NOT work, don't bother thinking about that. The angle of the front ends of Thunderbirds are too "pointy" for Mustang lights to be feasible. There was some talk about using lights off other cars, and one member was doing some work to make new lights, or maybe lenses..but haven't heard anything from that undertaking in a coupla years...

I'll have an NOS passenger side headlight here soon (actually two of them). You'd be looking at about a hundred bucks. They are like gold, super hard to find. These parts for our cars are getting few and far between.

II like the aero lights better............until one has to be replaced, then I hate them.

Looks-wise, I prefer the aero, light output wise...I'll take a 4 eye setup any day. With an open road ahead of you, in the dark, you can never have too much light...just make sure you have a dimmer switch to along with it all lol
