Hello everyone.
I got this 88 cougar 5.0L, looking for lowering springs for performance. Where can i find some springs? or whats best?
I have '99 Mustang (SN-95) springs all around. They have a great road feel, not real stiff, yet well mannered, and they can be had for cheap. They were a direct swap, but I'd recommend having the front end aligned afterward. They lowered my Sport about 1 1/2 to 2 inches all around which leaves the car very functional, and able to take a speed bump without having to come to a near stop like those low rider weenies.
This is a well-discussed subject here. Give the search function a go.
So you think it will fit direct, where can i get the sn-95
Those springs can be had at any salvage yard, Ebay, the Corral forum, etc.
They are a direct fit, but you'll need a front end alignment after any lowering of the front.
Ohh. Replying to this to also say thanks as this sounds like something I might wanna try IF it will work on an '86 TC.. will it pair up correctly on my 86 too?
I dont know why it wouldnt??
Do not use Fox Mustang 5.0 front springs or the front tires will be on the inner fenders. At least that is what happened on my '83 with the 16" wheels (245/50/16's) back in the day.

but yours its a 83, 5.8 and mines itss a 88 5.0L
Sorry. Was just general information. When I put the Fox springs in the car it was with the original 5.0 CFI motor and the T-5.
