I just ordered some Maximum Motorsport camber plates and thier strut tower brace. Have any of you guy got these on your car? If so, what alignment specs are you running for camber and caster? I'll probably start with MM's recomendations and play around with them from there if I dont hear any other advice here.
I finally broke down and got the plates because when I did my 11" brake conversion I lost most of the negative camber that I gained when I lowered the front end. I used turbocoupe spindles on the sport A arms and that changed the suspension geometry. I guess the Sport and TC arms must be different lengths. Anyway, after my alignment I found that my camber and caster varied greatly from side to side and figured it was about time to add some adjustability into the picture and get rid of that slight understeer that I now have. (again!)
i just brought the paper with me and had them aligned to MM recomendations.. handles great...
I just used the recomended specs also. I needed them to correct my camber problem and they worked great. Install easy and the alignment shop(which is an old guy about 75yrs old and typically hates caster/camber plates) had no problems aligning the car.
hey bob, hows your passenger side cc plate fair with the strut tower brace? mine fits but im not sure about what kind of iss ues i'll have once i get it on the ground again. (the plate contacts the brace, but i can still move the adjustments pretty good)
The passenger side didn't make it... I'm in the process of modding my brace to fit. I cut the brace at the corner and I'm going to bend the one bar out of the way and have it welded... Funny you said that I'm going out to my car right now and getting the brace so the welder here in the hospital can do it for me... I'll have pics tonight :)
i probley wouldnt have had any room at all if my buddy didnt say maybe you should adjust the placement of that brace for cc plates lol. ill have to take a look at your pics and see what you did to fix it.
He's (welder) not in today :( I'll catch up with him on Monday

I just called this guy, and he'll give a discount on the Tbird plates for those that are willing to order. I'm in CA and would have to pay sales tax, but for those that aren't, you're looking at about $180 shipped.
Humm.. He told me he couldn't get discounts on the tbird plates... this was in october 2004.. guess I missed the boat on that one
Are these ford plates or are these just for t-birds/cougars? and what years?
