Title: Chrome strips on B pillar
Post by: Loaded87IROC on April 27, 2011, 05:26:53 PM
The Cougar I recently picked up has 2 thin chrome strips on the B pillars.  None of the Cougars I have previously had have had this.  Is this an 85 only thing?  Is the car maybe an LS without badging?  Not a big deal, just curious.

You can see the strips in this pic.

For Cougars:

1983 - GS & LS
1984-86 - LS only

Your '85 appears to be an LS. If you have the high-series door panels then that confirms it.

Thanks Eric.  The car does have the TC/XR7 style door panels, so I reckon its an LS.

For TBirds 1983-86 Heritage/Elan I believe. Don't know if the parts are interchangeable?
