ok, I am going to the local strip tomorrow, I would like for it to run better then my 11.4 but it was 40* last time I went. I am going to take out my passenger seat, back seat and anything else I can unbolt:mullet:. WISH ME LUCK!!!!
Pictures and videos to come!!!!
good luck.
I have to hang my head in shame...... I could not get the car any faster, I ran it 8 times in 2 hours(90*) no one showed up lol.I ran 11.6 6 times and one 11.7 and one 11.9, on those two runs it felt like it was running out of gas??? maybe since it was so hot.I guess i'll wait till the winter, but might have the tremec 3550 in by then.
Seems like good times to me? It was pretty hot.
Here are some vid's and some pic's, yes I did see the light!!!! don't hate on my burnouts trying to keep the tranny cool and thats all I need, I guess

Still awesome times. :) I can only dream of having my Thunderbird that fast.
It had to be great fun to get all those runs in!
Looks like your 60' times were soft. The MPH look great, particulaly when you consider how hot it was.
Going with a manual can help it launch harder. Usually takes a bit of a learning curve to dial it in...
I know, I will be pissed if the car runs slower after all that work. That's why im going to have my 150lbs buddy race it first, lol
This is what he practices on, lol http://www.blowbyracing.com/robmollet.html

He hasn't raced much since tyler was born, but im sure he'll do fine.
Now that's a great plan and it should really shorten the learning curve!
the only thing is I will never run it faster then him, first he weighs almost 100lbs less then me, and he can drive better lol
