i have a 1989 h.o motor and need to know what size pump i need for it? i got one for a 93 h.o mustang.
That'll work. I used an H.O pump that I bought for my old H.O engine. I ordered one for a '91 Stang. Never had an issue with it at all with that engine. Once I started swapping cams and other parts, I got a higher flowing pump, but for an H.O engine, you should be fine. Later, if you choose, you can always go bigger, but I would use that one instead of spending money on another right now. If and when the time comes to need a new one, grab a higher flowing pump then.
ok vinnie. the pump died on me the other day and its only been in the car for a few weeks and only have like 50 miles on the pump.
oh ya i for got dose the 88 302 have the same injectors as an 89 302 h.o?
The EFI Fox H.O motors had 19# injectors (orange), and the standard 302 like the Thunderbirds,Cougars, and Crown Vics all had had 14# injectors. If the '88 and the '89 both are H.O engines, then they should share the same kind of injectors.....19's
Hope that helps.
Was the pump new or used? I have a new one for sale in the classifieds. It's for the H.O Mustangs, a direct swap for the Thunderbird's pump.
the pump was new. and the injectors that were in the 302 h.o were shot so i put the one out of my 88 302 in it i thought they both used the 19s but i did not know. the 88 is not an h.o motor
if you need 19's, let me know I have a set for cheap. Explorer injectors. A direct swap.
well i think i need them when i drove the car home it did not seem to pick up like it did when it was in the other car could be the pump or the injectors. how much u want vinnie
I'd take $35.00 shipped for all 8 of them. Good o-rings and caps, ready to install.
