Has anyone had any good experiences with ordering parts online? Besides JC Whitney Ive never ordered any hard parts. I was looking for inexpensive rotors and an alternator for my 88 XR7 and came across partsgeek, rockauto, carparts.com etc and was wondering if anyone had any dealings with them. Trying to stretch my dollar and avoid the retail chains
I bought a bunch of parts from Rock Auto for my MN-12. Great customer service.
I agree, if you can wait for the parts http://www.rockauto.com is the way to go. Very nice web-site and a lot of times they a picture of the item. Sometimes I look it up here before I buy local to see if the local price is reasonable; The other day I purchased a gasket set and Rockauto was $100 cheaper, I decided for $100 I could wait. The only thing is you have to watch shipping. They ship out of several warehouses and when they do they can charge double shipping costs. But they let you know exactly how much up front.

Rock Auto was the only place smart enough to get me the correct belt for me blower pulley swap when I had my Supercoupe.
RockAuto X2!
I have had good luck with Rockauto and Carparts .com top notch service from both of them
Rockauto for sure, but if you can't live with 3-Day shipping charges, you definitely WILL NOT get three day shipping "by mistake". So, like Ted said, you gotta live with the wait. I've bought several things from them that I couldn't even get locally, so I think they're great!
a good portion of the new parts on my cars are from Rockauto... brake parts, exhaust, chrome trim, door handles, and lock posts, oil pump, oil pan... and the list goes on.
