Hey guys,
I've read countless threads about the TC electric fans not being compatible with a 5.0, but I haven't found one yet about the fans working with a 3.8. Does anybody know if there is pulley clearance on the 3.8 for the electric fans? Thanks for the replies.

Because the 3.8 is so much shorter, I'm betting there's more room... enough room though? WHo knows.
Ifixyawata,
Thanks for the reply. What is the critical dimension I would need to know? From what point to what point? I'm assuming I would remove my mechanical clutch fan and shroud and the whole TC electric fan assembly would go in their place? What does it mount to or from? Aside from a little unnecessary draw from the battery/alternator, and because I don't feel competent enough to wire the elec. fan up the right way (primary fan on/off from thermostat reading, secondary fan on/off with AC on/off, etc.), what would be the harm in running both fans constant with an ignition-on power source? I'm primarily looking for a mpg-gainer by freeing up some load on the motor. Sorry for all the question marks in a row, but I appreciate anybody's thoughts. Thanks.

If you don't feel competent enough to wire up a set of TC fans, I would probably pick up an aftermarket electric fan. Unless you've got the TC's sitting around I wouldn't bother trying to install them. Hayden and Imperial (same company, different name) make pretty good fans for pusher or puller setup. They also have very clear instructions and wiring kits. I couldn't be happier with mine. The only thing I would do is maybe get the 16" instead of the 14". I've had no problems, but cooler is always better. Here's the thread with pictures:

youll need the TC upper radiator brackets, and i dont know how the bottom mounts up, probably the same way as the normal shroud does
wiring is simple, if you pick up the proper relays
